That’s great! Congratulations, atleast they didn’t loose yours. Ha ha
Thank you!! I just let out a big sigh of relief haha. I will keep you updated for changes but for sure you should hear something soon too!
This is the second time that I do dropbox renewal and it took just 2weeks last time, including a document request. This time around, the processing times are crazy

mine was AP yesterday and now its Application Received again?
That is very strange. Hopefully they issue your soon. But in case they need some document from you they may email you. Keep an eye out for that.

Do they tell reason for interview or no? That is so inconvenient right to book a slot. What if nothing is available for a few months.

I know this is very inconvenient, especially when you wait weeks for Dropbox... They did not give any reason but I think it is because I changed employer last year, previous visa was stamped with a different employer. I have always been an FTE though so was hoping things to go smoothly.
Good luck to you

Thanks. Good luck to you too.
If you could still update us here as your next steps go, would definitely help us in case anyone gets called for interview.

If you have I797 approval then it’s good to send copy but otherwise they only want petition number as shown in I-129. I would suggest send copy I-129 form also if you have it but that’s not a requirement.
Hi Neha... When trying to fill details in site https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-ca/.. stumbled upon
"Country of Permanent Residence" field.

Currently, I am on a work permit and living in Canada. Dont have Canadian PR. My nationality is India.
For "Country of Permanent Residence", I should choose India. Is my understanding correct.

Thanks much for your assistance!!

Since you have a work permit, you are considered a Canadian resident, so you can definitely select Canada.

Yes you should be able to answer yes to that question and submit your work permit as residence proof. Lot of people have done that I have been reading here. If consular officer has any queries that can always reach out to you via email.

I meant- you can say Canada to that question if you currently reside in Canada.
