I sent my application on May 6th to the Ottawa embassy to renew a B2 and it was received May 9th but it still says No Status. The wait is crazy

I have been waiting since 18th May for H1b visa.
I don’t understand why wouldn’t they rush these application. Process of a month or more is ridiculous especially when they have original passport.

that is insane... i hope they acknowledge soon that they have your passport

I called ais-usvisa again this morning and even the agent seemed a bit suprised but then just told me it could take up to 6weeks. Imagine taking that long with an original passport...
Plus I have to travel on July 8th and I'm starting to get worried. I really hope we all hear from them soon

I think I did 2- for non immigrant visa, then 4- to pay MRF then 5- talk to an agent

I did try that option and was told a standard reply of wait for 4-6 weeks

Yeah it is their go-to reply unfortunately

My case last update date says June 1st now but status is still Application received. Anyone knows what that means

I think it will probably go to "Adminitrative processing" or "Issued" pretty soon, according to what I have seen in other cases

That’s great. That means they are working on your case and you may soon see administrative processing and then issued status
