I think u can get medical done in India ... check the CIC list of doctors where u can get it done!!
your medical report should not be more than an year old when u finally land in Alberta. Infact CIC has started mentioning in the medical request that u should not get medical done for atleast 3 months from when u get the medical request... so u cannot get it done now and give it to your friend.

Guys,

I got PCC cleared from New York. I applied by mail.
It took almost 15 days to get that. I also sent my passport with the application.
I applied for FBI clearance which I applied on Dec '10 2009.
I paid $18 fee by Credit Card but still they have not charged it.
I have put the required date of 31 Jan 2010
Lets see.

Hi desikiVAAT,

Sadly no news from FBI yet. And PCC expiration date is also a problem in my case. I'm going to submit my Japanese PCC to Buffalo but it can be issued only once per purpose, which means I can't request another PCC from Japan for Canadian Immigration purpose. Even though I stayed in Japan only for 5 months (so I'm not required to submit this PCC to Buffalo), my lawyer and I think CIC will request this later and I decided to include this in my application to Buffalo. Since I still have some time, I'll wait for my FBI clearance as long as I can (at least till the end of my 8th week, which is Feb 1). But if FBI can't tell me any progress by the end of this month (I'll call them again!), I will have to consider the option to write a letter to Buffalo explaining the situation and submit CIC application without FBI clearance.

BTW how did your fingeprinting for California PCC go? That was easy, wasn't it?

Also, now I'm working on updating CIC timeline tracker (http://tnyurl.com/AINP-Tracking-System). I have been collecting all the CIC timeline information from early posts of applicants and preparing the spreadsheet. I still need a little more time to work on this but it will be ready soon, hopefully early next week. Once it's ready, I'll post a message about it in CIC thread and here!

Hi Guys,

Is there anyone who got the nomination to the redirected address? I had given instructions to USPS for redirecting mails to another address & I am getting all other mails. I enquired with the AINP officer and seems they have sent the nomination in early jan.

P.S : Though it may not be relevant, I have posted my query in this thread as most you who got the nomination has left the nomination topic & I dont see much of activity.

Thanks

Hello Jasper,
I got my PCC from California in 15 days. I did the fingerprints in a local police station in Michigan. the process was very smooth.
I you live in California now, the process will be easier with live scan.
Good luck!

Thanks, feras80.

desikiVAAT and I were discussing the process of obtaining California PCC a few days ago (We live in California, so we use Livescan), and he was about to go to Livescan office at the time. I received mine on Dec 4, and the whole process took only 4 days. It was so fast and easy, unlike FBI clearance which I'm still waiting for. My California PCC will expire on March 1, so now I have to worry about it, too...

Good Luck to you, too!

Yes, California PCC fingerprinting was very easy, the info you gave helped a lot - thanks! Now waiting for PCC.
Earlier i was against the idea of sending CIC application without FBI report but now, maybe we might have to send it without FBI report... can't risk expiration of all the other PCCs while waiting for one- if i dnt receive it on time then will send application to Buffalo without FBI report which can follow later. And as u mentioned will write a letter explaining why i couldnt send FBI report.... also planning to attach FBI packet delivery receipt.
Also since you can't request another PCC from Japan so the one you have is quite valuable - dnt let it expire :) The chances that they might ask for your Japan PCC are more likely because it is a different country...and 5 months is a lot of time even though less than the timeline of 6 months. Its better we dnt give them opportunity to ask for any extra document.

Hello desikiVAAT,
I got my PCC from California state as an A4 document without any stamp, logo, or signature on it.
Did you get same report as mine?
Thank you

I agree and that's exactly what I was thinking. I'll also ask my lawyer for their professional opinion on this issue in a couple of weeks, and if I find anything useful, I'll post it here.

FBI, PCC

I had submitted expired PCC with my application to CiC, My application was returned to me in a month with a request to make some corrections in the Background declaration form, and to also submit my nomination certificate (which i forgot to submit earlier). They had not requested the FBI PCC at this time although i would assume if they checked my application, they should have asked for everything that was missing.
Like many of you guys, I have submitted the finger prints to FBI, and waiting for a response from them.
However because CIC has not commented on my expired FBI PCC , i am assuming that they are OK with them. So why not submit the application with expired PCC.
Just a thought.

As for Nomination Certificate .
1) Do we have to send orignal or photo copy will work ?
2) Do we have to send both 1st page and 2nd pages or 1st page will work?

Thanks
