Medicals should be submitted once you get medical forms from IRCC. So if IRCC asked him for medicals etc., means he already has your application number. Sometimes these are asked before Stage 1 approval
I think your lawyer has the Aor Do you have your mother UCI number you can check application with that too if they ask for MEDICAL and Pcc that means you are a second stage
Or Your application in process maybe they sent you aor or first stage approval

If they request medical they should have your application number on top of the medical or your UCI number

There is a lot of people like you and In your situation I know a guy he’s from Pakistan and he has same thing issues like you but he been waiting since 2020 to hear something from CBSA but he goes to check in by phone once a month his work permit expire and he gonna apply for H&c this year
Yes CBSA deport people Deportation is not on hold Don’t listen to a lot of people advice they do give you false advice because They don’t have that much information the only things you can do wait for the response from Cbsa then go step-by-step
You should apply now,before the current one expires, you can apply for extension. Use the form " Extended stay in Canada ". You should apply as refugee claimant. You will be able to get 1 or 2 years work permit.

This is what I been telling you guys there is no backlog . The only reason I see in some members case is missing or incomplete documents. Otherwise they shouldn't be delayed. Based on my experience I wouldn’t call the call center too many times . It’s just an opinion
Yes they do. There was a change when they reduced processing time. They now almost always do medicals before AIP. If you get an outright denial you don’t get asked for your medicals and are just denied. One of the reasons that AIP to final decision has become faster.
