I read in this forum about Mario Bellisimo in Toronto, but don't have any experience with them. I was trying to find an original post but couldn't find. It was mentioned in this particular thread about a year or so ago. I think it is important to check if they handle h&c with stories specifically like yours (establishment, hardship in your country, etc). Just a thought, hope it helps.

In that case you qualify to apply to restore your status. This won't get you an open work permit, but it's an opportunity to put yourself back in status in Canada. That may be something you want to talk to your lawyer about once you have one. Your priority should be finding a lawyer at this point. Good luck.
