Yet! It’s paid retroactively!
That's not true!!!. They pay back from the day the child was born and your non-Canadian children will receive benefits too.

That's clear, my kids are none Canadian they received from the day of AIP. Canadian kids from the day they were born ...they r Canadians after all!

did they both claim asylum together before separation? If yes, when the one that has AIP is sending second stage documents, additional family info and schedule A, let them include the other spouse as spouse , no longer separated with proofs like same address and bills and if possible pictures. If they were never actually separated, immigration will find out through background check, they go through social media . I wish your friend all the best, the journey might be tough but all we can do is pray and hope for the best
You think they might go to their house maybe?

i thought that canadian children would receive benefits even if their parents are not canadians or PR or tenporary residents for 18 months....

That's how it is. Maybe doesn't apply on some cases!

Not necessarily, but their background check will be more intensive, and depending on the immigration officials, they might look into whether they were truly separated from the on set which could prolong second stage approval for the spouse with AIP, but like I said, it depends on the immigration officials, all we need is favor

They start paying us from the day we got PR; we have to Canadians born kids. Age 6 and 4
As per my understanding CCB associated with parents status; any one who got CCB from the day their kids born? should I contact CRA?

They don’t pay from when they are born. They pay right from when the parents gets a status (COPR)

Dose anyone have an idea of how long it takes to receive a work permit? I applied In mid-October.
Took me 5 months. You can send an inquiry after the normal processing time passes. When I did I received it after 2 weeks from sending the inquiry
