Our counsel also did not recommend ordering the notes too often for some reason, especially after the application moved to In Process. But I can see that the response from @cantaloupe makes a lot of sense.

They won't stop processing your application. Its not only you. Many of us were sent biometrics instruction but service Canada can not give us appointments now bcos of covid. However it doesn't stop our applications from moving to next stage in processing
Does that mean I don't have to do biometrics again for now because I did it at the lacolle border when I came in to claim refugee in.2017?
I received my medical request and police clearance on Sep22nd, I submitted all my doc on Oct 13th. But my lawyer forgot to tell me that I need to do Police clearance for Canada too. My lawyer call me today and was asking me to do police clearance for Canada with RCMP because he got another email from officer.
Now my question is how many days it generally take to get an RCMP police clearance. Also as we forgot to give that is there will be any problem.

It hasn't been very long since the police clearance was requested to no it shouldn't be an issue.
Agree but you should also only order it when there is likely to show new information. There are some who encourage ordering notes monthy throughout the whole asylum and PR process when it is well known that there will be many months without any changes. The process still takes up taxpayer resources that everyone is paying towards. If people order notes very regularly just because it's "free" it will either lead to longer wait periods to receive GCMS notes or resources will need to be taken away from other work to process GCMS notes. Would just encourage people to order GCMS notes as a tool for you to figure out where you are in the process especially if your processing limelines are much different than others posting on various forums. Like any goverment services try to be sensible with your use. It is a good rules of thumb for any government service. I see many Canadians as well as new arrivals both book apppointments with their GP to renew one prescription and then the next month they book another appointment because they have run out of another prescription. Because we don't see the bill for the appointment some people don't try to minimize how many appointments they need and come in with all their prescriptions so they can get renewals or post dated renewals for all of their medication. There has actually been some discussion about sending people their medical billing for the year to show people how much things actually cost and to alao pick up on any fraud.
