Hello everyone,
I filed judicial review for my H&c & leave was granted. What’s next steps. What kind of documents do I need to submit.

As long as the only result was that your application will be sent back to be reviewed by another officer you don’t have to do anything.

Once you claim refugee you can get work permit! The first on took 3 months to process then 3 weeks for futurs ones! I did all by myself! Because I didn't have good lawyer nor money, I prefered keep the money for HC fees. I will help you as much as I can! I appealed but got denied i even filed prra while hoping it to succed and to keep the removal order on stand-by in case it failed.
Hi when can you apply for prra after your appeal is denied?

Hello,
Have you right to ask for PRRA? If yes you would have to wait 1 year after your judicial review dismissed to filed your PRRA. Meanwhile you can still working.
What I did in this case, was to applied for another open work permit, with a letter to explained to IO that I need to work to take care of my child while waiting for prra, and they renew my work permit for 2years.

Even with 2 years work permit I couldn't applied for permanent job, I steel working in the same place but they will not offer permanence until I become PR.

In my opinion, you must apply for a renewal at least 2 month before your actual permit expire, and show the application then the new permit to your employer in order to extend your contract.

I wish you best of luck! I been in your feet 2 years ago, without any partner to support and i was awful, but I know that it's gonna be alright by God grace.
Hi my work permit will be expired in June of this year but my refugee claim was denied and I was issued a letter from CBSA can my work permit still be renewed?

How can I write to ask for a prra and can you ask for a praa even though it’s not yet a year since you appealed for a judicial review.

Hello friends. I submitted my application in April 2024. And I still can't open my application on the website. How can I know where it is? Have the fingerprints been approved?
You cannot view its status until it moves to “in process”. From what I have seen, it has taken 4-5 months for that to happen for others on here.

Dear friends, good morning, I got my notes yesterday and nothing has changed, anyone know what "HIRV" on the notes means?
AI overview

In GCMS (Global Case Management System) notes, “HIRV” stands for “High-Impact Risk Visitor.” This term is used by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to identify individuals who may pose a significant risk if allowed entry into Canada. The designation can be based on various factors such as:
Security Concerns: Involvement in activities related to terrorism, espionage, or organized crime.
Criminal History: Past criminal convictions that raise concerns about the individual’s behavior and potential impact on public safety.
Other Risks: Any other factors that might threaten Canada’s national security or public interest.
Implications of HIRV Designation:
Enhanced Scrutiny: Applications flagged with HIRV are subject to more detailed examination, including additional background checks .
Processing Delays: Due to the need for thorough assessment, applications may experience delays in processing.
Risk of Denial: If the risks associated with the HIRV designation cannot be adequately addressed, it could lead to the denial of the application.
