Hola a todos,

Hoy visité la oficina de nuestro diputado y ellos amablemente se comunicaron con IRCC en mi nombre. Más tarde, recibí un correo electrónico de ellos que decía: “Pude hablar con IRCC y me informaron que su solicitud de H&C no es rutinaria, lo que significa que se requieren verificaciones adicionales, por lo que los tiempos de procesamiento normales no se aplican”.

He realizado algunas investigaciones en línea sobre lo que esto podría significar, pero me comunico aquí para ver si alguien con una experiencia similar puede tener información o consejos adicionales.
Son 24 meses desde que recibieron la solicitud.

A mí me pasó lo mismo. Después de preguntar varias veces por mi caso, el diputado me dijo que lo habían trasladado a la categoría de “no rutinario”. Mi caso tardó 36 meses en ser aprobado. Estoy en Quebec.

Hi everyone,

Today, I visited our MP's office, and they kindly contacted IRCC on my behalf. Later, I received an email from them saying, “I was able to speak with the IRCC, and they informed me that your H&C application is non-routine, meaning additional checks are required, so the normal processing times don’t apply.”

I've done some online research on what this might mean, but I’m reaching out here to see if anyone with a similar experience might have additional insights or advice.
It is 24 months of the application received by them.

Sorry i am not able to help. But can you guide me how mp can help with H&c processing time? Can they only enquire on status of application or can they actually put in a word to reflect on the processing time?

They can only inquire about status. They cannot influence the processing time.

Good question. Nobody knows...they said the average time for the all process is 20 months outside Quebec, we have people here who sent the requested documents in may, June, July and me in August...we are all waiting...if someone else have a clue...please tell us.

No, nothing yet.... I'm waiting for email 1 and 2. I sent the requested documents on August 2...I know it will come soon....but this waiting game is killing me

Hi ,i am also in the same boat, i applied for my mother in march 2023 and no updates . called MP office and same status and said only eligibility criteria is passed and all other three - Security, Criminality and Medical yet to clear.we never received anything regarding medical request for her .
Her legal status is already expired and cannot apply for super visa again as she is in Canada ,not sure what to do now .she cannot go back to India under H&C application , any advise ?

when did you apply? Is it your 1st HC? I also have HC pending for parents as their super visas expired.
