Hello everyone, for those that applied for a work permit and got approved before stage one H&C approval, what category did you pick as current status in Canada before applying for work permit, did you pick waiting for federal review or failed refugee. I will be applying soon, unsure of what to pick. I’m waiting for stage one approval.
are you a failed refugee? or do you have any application under federal review pending?
@stallion1982 my federal was refused. I have applied for H&C but still waiting for first stage approval. I now want to try to get my work permit extended.
I have seen in this group that people with failed refugee cases, were able to get their work permit extended even though they have not yet received first stage approval on their H&C cases. So I think you should be able to extend your work permit. Good Luck!!

Sorry to hear that your application was refused,dont worry,try submitting a new application/file for a JR,keep fighting for your rights,may almighty help you to win this battle,could you tell me when did you submit your application/after how many months they refused your application?

--An officer..... the risk of bias and unfair decision is high when reviewed by a single officer. Not sure how IRCC make sure this does not happen and applications are fairly judged.
