Can someone reply me on this please.i did a spousal application that was refused in 2017 because of misrepresentation.will I be eligible if I submit another spousal application?

Misrepresentation is huge when it comes to Canadian Immigration law. It could be either 'Direct or Indirect'. As long as it not a crime or misleading the officer. you can correct this by re-applying with better explanation and proof.

I am wondering if someone can answer my question. My father has applied for H&C. However, we do not have ECAS access for him. When we check the status using the IVR it states the file was received on March 5, 2018 and that they are reviewing whether he meets the eligibility criteria.

Does this mean the first-stage processing on the file has started?

Exactly what the note says: " they are reviewing whether he meets the eligibility criteria.". This is not an approval, but they're working to see if your dad is eligible.

I landed yesterday in Calgary office. I thank God and you guys for the help over here. I pray God gives everyone their PR soon. The lady just asked me if i had committed any criminal offense said No, 2, are u married? 3, Do you have children? and i signed that was it guys, less than 5 mins or 5 mins max .All the best to you all.

I checked my ecas a day later the status link says complete and then i clicked on it it says you entered canada at the Calgary IRCC office on April 25 th and became a permanent resident. Thats it guys all the best.

Which province you applied from. IRCC Montreal and Vancouver seems to be slower than others for landing appointment (4 to 8 weeks), I'm from Montreal and today is my 2nd week post Decision made, but no appointment yet.

I’m from Montreal too , they told me my moms file has been sent to Niagara Falls due to work load at Montreal . After 1st stage how long it took to get your CSQ?. I hope you get the update soon .

It's took 7-8 months to got my CSQ after Approval In Principle. I remember called so many time because one Quebec immigration agent told me it's can take up to 3 months for them to receive file from IRCC after AIP, so I start worried past the 4th month mark.
But when I got my medical request, few weeks later I got CSQ request forms to complete and return with explanation letter for why they should grant me a CSQ.

I guess they waited for my medical to be sent before contacting me... or maybe IRCC wait for medical before tranfert the file to MIDI...?

Mom already passed her medical and her private medical insurance is expiring in July , if we don’t receive anything before that I need to buy another visitor insurance for a year ,which costs a lot . I think IRCC waited for you to done your medical , btw which ofifce is handling your stage 2 ? Could you please share please .

That’s mean your file is being proceed in Montreal ,yes why can’t it be him then ? Why they take so much time for everything , present insurance doesn’t cover anything, it’s for something emergency no cancer treatment. Last one I bought haven’t use it as she is doing well . Hi everyone, it's my pleasure to join this group.
Please i need advice on my application. I'm still awaiting my appeal decision which was filed on February 2019 after a failed refugee decision. I have most requirements to file for H$C including letter from friends and family. I'm here with my partner and kids. We are both working. Out of OW since oct 2018.
Can i put in the application now or wait till appeal decision is out?
Should i file it myself or employ a legal person?

You can't apply for H&C while you have a refugee claim or appeal under review. You would either need to wait for the results of the appeal or withdraw the appeal and apply for H&C.
