I was given 60 days to send all documents; I submitted all the documents and medical right away but Police Certificate on day 60. I got response from NiagaraFallsBRO that file is now complete and ready for finalization. One week from that email I got CoRP in email. Already linked PR Card application in CIC account. Based on CoRP today I got and apply for Permanent SIN, Health Card, got seized documents from CBSA and cancelled they monthly phone reporting.
After submitting ur documents when did they contacted you after how many days?

What did you use monthly phone reporting for? Never heard of it

When you are out of status CBSA put you on monthly reporting either in person or on call. All you have to do is to call on given number every month and repeat 3 time " I am phoning immigration to report." For some individuals they have to go to CBSA office for in person reporting every month.

There was ongoing communication; initially I submit all documents except Valid Passport and Police Certificate. Then in another email I asked about police certificate and valid passport requirement and possible waiver request. Also got email from them to submit another form and RCMP Certified Check fingerprinted.
But when finally I submitted police certificate; I mentioned in email that "I believe that all required documents are submitted and I hope my file is ready for finalization."

I got following email next day:

Hello,
This is in response to your email submitted with copies of your valid passports and RCMP results, along with the Police Certificates.
They all have been received and your file has been updated.
It appears we have received all requested documents and I will be sending your application for finalization.
If we need any further information we will let you know.
Thank you and have a good day!

Oh I see what you mean.if you were a temporary resident or refugee before Pr,they will only count part of the years of the year spent as a temporary resident or conventional refugee(time spent as refugee is not included only when you have been accepted). So for instance,if you spent like a year prior to that, only 6 months will count towards your citizenship eligibility period.

What!!! Lol I never did that. Never heard of such a procedure!!
But if I have to do it then I would've been informed by my lawyer or was given the order from CBSA.

Thank you . Again and again ,Congrats

I hope we all get AIP soon cuz this is so stressful. My CBSA was not good. She wanted to expedite my removal at all cost. But I thank God I survived.I hated going there,so intimidating.so glad I don’t have to do monthly repotting or whatsoever. The irony is all the people who work there are immigrants too:confused:

It's ok after all they have to do what they have to do and I hope you get your AIP soon.
I did ger mine months ago but never heard of the reporting part.
Thinks will be fine as long as you're following the rules, working, volunteering and had yourself involved in the community so you don't have to worry.
Best of luck

The CBSA officer I got was nice. I had to report every two weeks. He even took the time out to explain procedures that could help my case.

those were the 10 disturbing months for me . Sometimes I wake up with nightmares. When I came Here I had no identity card or anything on me. I had no documents. So they kept me in detention center for 10 months till they found my background and identity. Not that I didn’t wanted to disclose my identity but they wanted to make sure to know I am who i am saying I am !!

Wow so sad to hear. I hope everything goes well for you. I am so happy I wasn't detained and had a very nice officer. First I ever heard they detain mothers with newborn. It really depends on the officer you get
