I’m mindful that role of JR is just determining and reviewing the decision wherever has legal errors in facts and laws, it doesn’t give you status or grant immigration application until here I agree with you 100%
But here is the real question if the application for H&C doesn’t have any grounds why they allowed to proceed with JR.?
If no foundations and grounds not necessarily filed for FC.
If they correct the mistake and approve the application then it’s okay to take this procedure but if refused again it’s just wasting more dollars and government resources!
And you tell me, does not mean in this legal process just wasting taxpayers money and resources? Make a request for H&C then proceed after refusal again file for JR before court DOJ involved so is not wasting huge budget?
I remember at early 2000s cost of processing H&C was too much around fifteen hundred $
Agree that it is often a waste of money. Asylum, refugees and H&C applications and associated programs are costing Canada a fortune. Most now file JR for any immigration rejection where JR it is possible and not for cases that have strong chance of actually getting a positive result or have a good chance of approval if redetermination is granted. Many filing JR have not idea what it actually is but given the volume of applications and wait times it is often used as a way to extend time in Canada.

Good morning team, I hope you all get some good news soon! I have received a letter stating a decision has been rendered and we are invited to CBSA to obtain the decision in a couple weeks. We are excited but also very nervous about this, Can anyone please shed some light !!! Anyone any experience my timeline is:
Applied for H&C on March 2024
Applied for Prra on July 2024
Letter received just now for the interview to obtain decision but it doesn’t mention about which of my applications?

Anyone any experience with this PLZ SHARE will be highly appreciated!
This is clearly related to PPRA but hard for anyone to anticipate approval/refusal. Your lawyer should have been able to give you some sense of whether success may be possible based on your actual case and citizenship.

absolutely! agreed 100% not even processing times are accurate and no one says anything. That’s exactly what govt likes and wants.
Good example is people coming from sponsorship programs or express entry usually 6 to 12 months to process and approval rates are 90%
They never leave in Canada
They coming to Canada and don't know if they like the country most of them turn to go back
They don't need to show friends letters
Or do Community work
They never pay tax in Canada
They have no really ties in Canada
They don't know if staying in the job for long time
They don't have cars or houses
They don't run a business
No kids in school
No banking background or credit score
No Canadian work experience
No canadian citizenship parents or family
And most of this type of people get the permanent resident in 6 to 12 months with no stress ,anxiety and don't spend money like most people for h&c

People that applied for H&C Show all the evidences that I mention above 80% gets rejected and even rejected or approved is more than 25 months for processing
Something is very wrong I do believe it's discrimination , racism, and other things
It's like to be in prison but not beyond bars
Why they have lots of immigration programs and they don't give status for all because the country need ilegal people to run the country to balance things MR Traude fuck up big time the last 9 years Canada never I'll be the 1 country in the world like used to be 20 years ago

At least canada provided us an opportunity to apply for permanent residency in Canada under H&C pathway.
Since we cannot qualify under standard immigration categories.
We should be patient.

Yup , we have two doors. No matter which one we choose, we die. But at least immigration gave us the opportunity to choose.

They qualified to immigrate based on skills, language, education, age, etc or are spouses/dependent children. You also had the ability to apply to any of these economic programs if you currently have status, before you lost status or before you came to Canada. New PRs are extremely diverse and definitely not predominantly Caucasian so not sure how you can claim racism or discrimination. The H&C program was only supposed to be for small number of truly exceptional cases. For example I recently saw a case where a relatively young Canadian died during the spousal sponsorship process so sponsorship was canceled. The spouse was already living in Canada with their young Canadian child when her spouse died. This is the type of rare scenario that H&C is really for.

IRCC always can find a new excuse to reject your file anytime or they can leave your file in the corner for long long time unfortunately no one can do nothing why other applications are 6 to 12 months and H&C are over 25 months something it not right with this immigration system
it is called compassionate for a reason, we are begging Canadian not that we are entitled for the pr

The same thing happened to someone i knew who applied 3 months earlier than us ,but they got the letter 4 months after their H&C application which is surprisingly fast
If applied somewhat recently a 4 month response for H&C is highly unusual especially if it was approved. There would have been something extremely time sensitive.

Yes, if i remember correctly, 4 months they get aip from CBSA, then around 13 months after submitted application, they got landing, that is super fast
