When did you apply for work permit and did you receive an interim work authorization letter immediately after applying?

i aplied H&C and work permit at the same time 20 months ago and this month i got the email "Interim work authorization"

You’ll have to wait and see if there is a reason for WP approval all of a sudden.

I have applied my parents H&C file in December 2023 . We got AOR and Biometric in January 2024 .
I went to MP last month and they found out they have the criminality and other things hasn’t started yet .
Could anyone let me know is it part of stage 1 or 2

Doesn’t sound like they started processing yet. Processing is around 2+ years these days with no guarantee of approval

@eni 123 has your work permit expired? I dont know if i should apply for work permit or wait for them to finalize it cos its been 5 month after Aip and nothing. My work permit has expired since and i am out of status. What do you think please.

You should apply for a work permit immediately, if your PR comes out before the WP they would cancel it and refund your money back to you
