Nothing is moving on H&C, is frustrating

Think 12 months seems pretty uncommon for AIP these days. If processing starts at 12 months you are lucky these days.

Can we understand through phone application status tracker if they`ve started to process our file?

Hey everyone,
Just wondering if anyone’s received Portal 1 or 2 this January? We got a request to confirm our address on November 20th, but nothing since then. When we called IRCC, they said all assessments are done, no checks are pending, but our application is still open - they just told us to wait.
Anyone else in the same boat or have any updates? Would love to hear from you. Thanks!

processing background check should mean processing has started. Not sure if the phone line is accurate. If you only applied in August 2024 if processing has started your case would either be a very clear approval with some sort of rare urgent circumstances or clear refusal. Most do not start processing for over a year so no point in following up regularly so early once you receive AOR.

Applied in October 2023,
received PRRA from CBSA in October 2024, and finally got AlP today.

up to day no letter from CBSA only Interim work authorization email with my client number, i have no status can this letter "Interim work authorization" indicate deportation in 6 months from now and they give you temporary status until CBSA decided date to deport you ? i have no clue why they send it, this email should be send wend we apllied or they are about to aprove your H&C
