Yes I did but I didn't see anything and anytime I called IRCC, the agent always says they are doing the background check and I'm still within the process time. My application would be 20 months this April

Processing time keep on adding apparently since the year started. It’s 21 months now. Last year Nov was around 18.

But I thought it’s when you pass the eligibility that you are issued an AIP. Why second stage?

Yes when you pass the eligibility, that's when you will be issued AIP. Not at stage 2. Without AIP you can't get to stage 2.

I've got an email from IRCC to send the required information which includes UCI, name, address, and etc in order to set up the PR portal account. I sent it out following day and still waiting for the email.
