H&C Humanitarian Ground with/or Without Failed refugee claim

Hi khadija could you please share your timeline ? What was your ground for h&c.

Refugee may 2012
Denied january 2015
H&c december 2016
Processing may 2017
AIP december 2017
Medical and the rest of the stuff February 2018
Background check was done September 2018
Passport was return to me September 2018 to renew
New bio page of passport sent October 2018
Waiting on and interview for pr

Yes I applied by myself and I'm from Québec.
As I told you last time, from CIC he must not apply to H&C if he can be sponsored, You must clarify this point before applying to not loose your time and money.
Any news on your sponsorship?

Oh ok.
For my sponsorship, I just got my AOR today.
That's all I have for now .

I asked for leave so I can go to Judicial review still waiting, meanwhile I was think of applying for H&C but the lawyer is asking for 3000$.

1. Do you think is good idea to do it by myself?

2. How much did your lawyer charge you?

3. If I decide to do it by myself, which harder part of the application?

i did have a lawyer i did not pay anything legal aid cover it

Sure you Can do it yourself, but be ready to work on it carefuly and grab as much proof as you can to support your story.

I didn't have any lawyer but Iike Kadija said legal aid can pay immigration lawyer if you find one that took lagal aid (most of them don't want to) and you must be eligible and have low income.

Hardest part in my opinion and in my case was writing my story where I include my H&C ground and got all the proof I need to make sure Imm officer will understand my situation clearly. That part took me so much time because I wanted it to be perfect and I don't regret. The Immigration forms part was easy for me because I was used to them.

And yous can alway call your MP office to see if somebody can check your application before you submit it ( I don't know if every MP office does this)
