Most H&C applications won’t have a medical done in the past year or may not have a medical at all. We will have to wait but in general the goal is to allow those who are using the Canadian medical system to skip a medical because IRCC can see the amount of care they use or to allow those who don’t need to meet the excessive medical care amount to skip the medical. In general H&C approval is dependent on the care you will use. We will have to see but the press release doesn’t specify that all applicants for PR inland will have medicals waived. You have to meet certain requirements.
Again! The rule of medical waiver as it was done in the past for in Canada applicants was for those applicant who in the past has completed medical for immigration purposes in the last years and would need to submit a copy of the medical slip and that's it.
On a lighter note! There is a lot of pressure and frustration for majority of people on here and I think we should try not to share unconfirmed nagative information or assumptions.
We all need some hope, and news like this gives us a tiny bit of it.
Let's all wait until the policy becomes active to see whonis eligible but in the meantime let's hope it favours everyone.
