Hi Newtone,

I have followed your other posts and replies to seemingly genuine doubts from new-comers. Sorry to say, but your replies do not help the cause. And in some cases are dis-tasteful to say the least.
Please refrain from posting. Not sure what your agenda is, but, People join forums like these to get a helping hand or a good suggestion at the least.
Discouraging them would be very easy, try motivating them. I am sure no one is so naive to not have their own fall back options.

Btw, Thanks (Or rather no thanks) for your reply.

P.S : One piece of info that might interest you. I tried, and now, I do have a job offer from a very reputed company in Canada. :)

Please do not lie.

This is simply not how interview process with a "very reputed" company in Canada works like.

You made your post on 26th and now have a job offer? Lie.

You either had a job offer before, the company is a scam, you got it through other channels, or you are not even Indian, but just post to irritate other posters.

If your offer is genuine, you would post this "reputable company".
Hello Mr Beach Man,

"You either had a job offer before, the company is a scam, you got it through other channels, or you are not even Indian, but just post to irritate other posters."

The Answer is a BIG "NO" to all these.

I have been trying since end of July. I posted here only on Aug 26th doesn't mean i started my search only since then. I did get a call after Aug 26th though. It is a 3 step interview process.

1. Pre-screening call.
2. Technical Interview through Skype.
3. 2nd Technical and Project Manager interview through Skype again.

They arranged it back to back since they have urgent requirement.

I DON'T need to lie. I have no intention to mislead anyone. What would i achieve by saying to people, "It is possible, but might take some time" ?? There are 2 other people who have chipped in with successful job search on this thread.

Or you want me to say, "It is near to impossible, so don't even think about trying" ?

I have hardly like some 56 or something posts here since a year. I am more of a observer & information seeker.

Neways, i don't want to continue this thread any further. It serves no one's purpose. I have said, what i had to.

As for my suggestion to other people seeking jobs goes. Yes, it is possible. The opportunities for outsiders are less, but hang in there.

Thanks all.

You've got all reasons to lie because you have a point to prove and also give people false hope. If you weren't lying then you would have no problems disclosing the name of the company because this would realistically help a lot of people and you know it. I mean its common sense right? If I got a job in a company I would share it with people in a forum because if I am seeking help from a forum then its only fair that I give back to the forum, correct? its like giving back to society when you are taking from society. Not sure if your system of education or society taught you that.

You've mentioned 2 other people, sure if anyone agrees with you they could be additional 10 other people who say the same thing just cause they want to prove a point. Who knows if they really have a job, they could be making this whole thing up. Just like you.

Also by saying things like "Neways, i don't want to continue this thread any further. It serves no one's purpose" You are basically being evasive because this thread serves a lot of purpose, only if you disclose the name of the company. But you are not doing that. You claimed you've got a job but not disclosing any information about the company that hired you. Its like saying I had the best food in the city but I will not tell you the name of the restaurant, or I know where to get the least expensive groceries but I will not tell you. What kind of sadist behavior is that?

So honesty is the best policy and if you are honest with yourself and realistically got a job then learn to share it with people who have helped you, such as this forum. I possibly cannot be more blatant. If you decide not to share the name, then your story is pretty much fiction and we can just comfortably brush it off to the side and move on with our lives cause it really dosen't serve our purpose. Which you've already mentioned in your statement above. So logically it makes sense to ignore you and it proves my statement of your story being complete fiction.

Its hard for those who never worked in an IT Operations environment to understand what it means when you have an urgent project that needs to be staffed immediately otherwise it would impact the company severely..i.e. they could face penalties/business loss/customer dissatisfaction...etc...at that time a company's priorities would differ and the focus would narrow down to 1 concern - which is the technical skill.

Never mind what they say, enjoy your success and live the Canadian dream ...that's why we immigrated to this beautiful country! ;) 8)

Wow! What an enigma. Quite dissapointing for potential immigrants seeking to gain employment opportunities with local companies.

All I can say is if people choose not to disclose name of local companies the only conclusion I can draw is they are MLM, marketing, call center, temporary, door to door sales jobs. So people please be aware from these companies and stay away from them and ignore these fictionous glorified stories cause they are too good to be true.

We think differently and that's obvious to you or anyone who reads this thread or other threads.

I'm not here to prove you are right or wrong, or to acuse you or others, i'm here only to write/say what i think is right based on my own experience, and that will continue as long as i still post on this forum. Sorry newtone..i'm not writing a company's name :).

Dont feel sorry for me rather feel sorry for those potential immigrants you are selling your glorified fictinous story to. As long as I continue to post in this forum I am not going to allow people to fall victim to con/scam artists and baseless stories that does good to no one. Either share your good/ bad experience completly or dont share at all. Who likes to hear an incomplete experience?

Wrong, most reputed companies outsource their IT to India. This way they save cost and are able to manage projects and deadlines better. Why bring an Indian and pay them $100/hour when you can get the job done from India for 100 rupees/ hour?

Who knows if its a small company or a large company? Maybe if it is a small company and he disclosed the companies information an someone from here contacted them and said "Hey I heard your recruiting immigrants as you have just hired someone from India" That could have a big impact on his future employment for disclosing information publicly.

I will disclose my work employments information because is a large company. I work for the Federal Government. So if your seeking a job there go to this site http://www.gojobs.gov.on.ca/jobs.aspx. Hope that answers your question as I'm a new immigrant and got recruited through them.

Happy Hunting :p

I'm not sure if your aware of few companies such as Rogers, they have cut ties with outsourcing their IT department to India and bringing it in house.
