Hi there,

I am preparing all documents and willing to apply for CEC right from I get 1-year of working experience in Canada at the end of October 2021. I have a plan to visit my home country right after I receive ITA because of the family business. Is this ok or I have to continue to work in Canada until my application is approved for PR?

There’s no restriction that you need to stay in Canada after you get ITA.

it’s after the approval that’s going to be tricky. We don’t know if travel restrictions would be lifted by the time you’re planning to return to Canada, but nowadays, inland applicants receive their COPRs right away after approval (no more PPRs). So what happens now is for those inland applicants you who got approval while outside Canada, they cannot return as COPR is not a travel document and all their temporary visas were already cancelled, they have to either (1) inform IRCC that they’re outside of Canada so that IRCC can cancel their COPR, wait for them to return (using their temporary visa) and reissue COPR after they land or (2) apply for PRTD outside of Canada or wait for PR card (which is taking about 30-100 days depending on visa office).

October 2021 is still far ahead, so wait and see what the travel restrictions would be then and plan accordingly.

I'm CEC inland applicant and hopefully my application is near completion (medical passed, processing background check). I'm currently outside Canada working remotely for 5 months and likely my CEC application will be approved while I'm away. Is there a way to get PR while I'm away? If not, should I inform IRCC that I'll be away for this period so they consider this fact before my application gets approved?

Also, is it necessary to have CoPR in order to apply for PRTD? In this case, how to apply for PRTD if my application gets approved while I'm away?
