Girl Friend with Tourist Visa, marry, bring her and then apply for PR

I had my girlfriend apply for a visitors visa, and she got approved.

Now I will be going to my home country ( India) to get marry on social customs and planning on bringing her here using the visitors visa she obtained months earlier.

So once she lands in Canada, i will marry her in canada to get marriage certificate .

I am planning on applying for inland sponsorship.

What is advisable to apply for her PR application ? Inland or Outland ?

Is this an OK thing to do? Any response would be appreciated.

Outland application would be better

Processing time for straight forward case is 10 to 13 months at new delhi high commission

PS- if you are marrying in India you can get your marriage certificate in India as well

Effective December 22, 2014, Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) will commence issuing open work permits to certain spouse or common-law partner in Canada class (SCLPC) applicants before the approval in principle decision is made.

Applicants who have already submitted an application for permanent residence under the SCLPC class but have not yet applied for an open work permit should complete a work permit application, include the appropriate fee, indicating that they are applying for an open work permit, and submit it to the Case Processing Centre in Vegreville, at the following address:

That would be an inland application . It was or is a pilot program. It ends the 22nd December 2015. We have no idea at this time if the new government will continue this or end it

Yes, with an inland sponsorship, she can apply for a OWP and stay in Canada. However, inland applications generally take a long time, and the applicant is advised to not leave Canada during that time.
Since she has a TRV, she can enter Canada as a visitor and stay with you while you apply to sponsor her outland. Outland is much faster for New Delhi. She would not be able to get the OWP though.

Why she can not get OWP ? While under pilot project it is mentioned to applied for spouse for open work permit.

A total of 27 months. 17 months for first stage AIP, then another 10 months for second stage. The OWP takes about 4 months to get (sometimes less). New Delhi outland seems to have been faster last year. The NDVO thread people are complaining that no one who applied this year has their PR yet, whereas last year people were getting theirs in 8 months or so. But still, even if it takes a year or more that's quite a bit less than inland.

No. As stated several times in the previous posts, there is no OWP option with outland.

To put it in perspective, is it really that important for your fiance to start working as soon as possible? How much does she earn in India? I've read that most people in India make only a few hundred dollars a month. If that's the case with your fiance, I'm sure it's not that much of a financial burden between the both of you for her to come live with you in Canada (on an outland application with visitor visa) and you supporting the two of you on just your salary. But do tell us about you and her financial situation.

Also, with outland, she could potentially get her PR visa very quickly, and can start working in Canada soon.

Did you got married in canada while she was on a trv? How long was your relationship at the time of your application for sponsorship? Did she stay in canada with you during the process of outland sponsorship?
