Me and my fiancé want to get married this Christmas so we can get the paperwork done, while we do we want to live in separate countries and still work, does anyone have any info on if that's ok or not? Some people have told me we have to live together right away after but I don't think that's the case! Any info will really help thansk! Also we're planning to live in canada

No, in fact, it's the norm NOT to live together if you are applying outland (which, for a US applicant, is ideal). You would only need to live together if you were applying common law, but if you are getting legally married, that isn't an issue.
