Yea, mine took 3 months. Recently got a re-medical request. Precisely on the 24th of May. My security screening and that of my spouse (was stated 'comprehensive check' on cbsa note) started on the 28th of February according to CBSA notes, and sent to CSIS on the 29th and completed same day according to CSIS note. Called ircc today and confirmed that my security was passed on the 24th of May, same day of the re-medical request.

Our Tracker still reads:
Eligibility - Not Started
Biometrics - In Progress
Background - In Progress
Medical - Completed.

You usually get an update on tracker as "Background verification status has been updated to In progress". At least that was the case for my application.

I can tell these are two separate plaintiffs, because the second person only started the mandamus process after the first guy had won.Thanks for this insightful info. I hope that in the end you achieve success. Meanwhile, it is quite remarkable the humongous number of outstanding Mandamus/immigration related cases. It shows the level of frustrations among applicants attributable to the prolong delay in the processing of background checks. The process clearly needs to be finetuned for better results.1. There have been TWO other people carrying my first AND last name who filed for mandamus against IRCC since 2022
2. From the serial number of my mandamus case, I can tell more than 10000 immigration-related cases have been filed between January and June 2024. There were less than 5000 immigration-related cases between January and June 2022, even with all the year-long delays that IRCC blamed on COVID. It wasn't until November 2022 before IRCC received 10000 immigration-related lawsuits for the year. Maybe this is why they have been so slow to respond.
