I agree. I have been married and in a solid relationship with husband for years and years. Baby due May 2019. We were denied a visitor visa BEFORE getting pregnant. While I maintain a condo and business in Canada, I spend up to 70% the year with him in Costa Rica as he has never been able to travel here. Now being pregnant I'll probably have to have baby alone in Canada / Spousal application has been stuck in Sydney NS, 0 action/movement over 1 month since medicals passed. All checks bg/ show not started processing yet. Have reference letters, ton of genuine relationship proof. Both first and only marriage, 0 dependents. I know our MP personally and even she wrote me a letter of recommendation to include with our file. + Countless other recommendation letters from high profile professionals. I have an extremely high profile, public figure job, considerable savings, no debt.

I see people who submitted AFTER me, from all different worldly places like Tunisia or India who are already getting PPR. I truly wonder about the potential discrimination and processing of applications from Central America, in general. TBH. Such a game of patience; yet so urgent with a new baby on the way. I know many have been in this situation and I, in no way expect favorable treatment, but the fact that others from around the world are receiving PPR and more when ours has yet to be forwarded to the local VO and shows nothing started in ECAS/GC Key for over 3 weeks is so confusing - and disheartening.

You mentioned public figure job, do you happen to be part of the liberal caucus or have friends in high places in liberal government? If so, maybe you can bring up the injustice to Minister Hussein and rest of the bureaucrats who mismanage immigration files. This forum is full of people complaining about the level of service provided. Same applies if you are part of the conservative group. But if you are not, then you have no way but to wait or maybe sue the government over delays and I hear people get CIC to move things forward when they are sued.

In the GCMS notes for my wife application with me as a sponsor I have one page with a note:

Page is withheld pursuant to section 19(1) of the Access to Information Act

And also in eligibility review: The following contains information that is to be exempted from release under Access to Information and Privacy legislation. It contains information related to to investigative techniques, plans for investigations, criminal techniques, and/or vulnerabilities of immigration systems or programs. It may contain information that would reveal the identity of individuals who provided information in confidence.

Is it normal to have that in the notes and how can I find what is that they are hiding there?

Also in the transcript of the interview few questions with my answers were excluded and some things added that I did not say to make their case for refusal. Well, that seems to be normal now.

So they are hiding from you what you said in interview. This is classic CIC; unorganized, incompetent - nothing new.

Section 19(1) is privacy regarding personal information so someone's name is there or info that did not sign the consent form or that the officer who review the GCMS notes thinks their consent is missing (he/she could be wrong of course).

See this thread of mine in regards to 19(1) and 15(1) for more details:

If there are things that you did not say for now they don't matter until you get rejected (if you do) and you can challenge them. This really depends on how bad they are and what exactly they are and not knowing what they are we can't be sure what you mean.

Could that be names of the people who wrote letters of support?

The application has been rejected and I decided to resubmit instead of appeal.

Apparently they do not record audio during the interview so it is my word against two of them (officer and translator - we requested translator for my wife).

Could be anything. It could also be that an officer is lazy and making a mistake. Resubmit with many people signing and maybe you get lucky...but I doubt you will get anything else.

Hey everyone,

I was wondering what the average wait time for your gcms notes to arrive? I'm considering purchasing them and just looking for a rough idea of wait time between purchase and arrival.

Thanks so much!

Average time is 1 month. Surprisingly, I got mine in less than a week. I do not know how!

I have been reading this post over and over again. And I was confident that I am almost done and waiting for PPR. However, I have just been told that For Sure you're in SS (security screening/clearance). I showed him this post and he is not convinced. And now I am also confused. Please let me know your thoughts. Following is screenshots of my gcms notes. Everything passed (security: blank - do now know) Appreciate it very much.

Last pic you posted seems to say "SEC passed" - but who knows maybe not...it's redacted. Seems like you are in security still because those notes have more to say but redacted.

I said "seems" to say SEC passed which probably means Security passed but I am guessing because it's redacted. SEC could be abbreviation for security. Really, any answer on this is just guessing because they are redacted. If you call they will tell you if it's in background check or not. And you can order CBSA notes to see if you are in security or not.
