Hi there, I've heard that we can complete our at least 30 hours a week with two employers. Is it correct? Anyone knows?

Hi members,
Wondering if I can make a job offer for home child care to my real sister under the gaining experience category or not:
She helped my wife with the first born in India at our home for year and half.
Family income last three years and for 2024 will be above 150k
My wife will not be working because she thinks the kid needs more time and her maternity is expiring in january third week.
My job is 125k annually, can we still become the employer ?

When did your sister start working in Canada? Or are you wanting her to apply through the closed HCCP which has not re-opened. So she is outside Canada and worked for your family in India. She will need to show that she was paid a salary and your employee:
  • proof that you received payment for your work, such as
    • copies of bank deposits showing salary payments for the period of qualifying work experience
    • official tax statements
  • at least 1 or more of the following:
    • pay stubs
    • work contracts
    • job offers
    • any official documents you were issued when you stopped working for your employer (if this applies)
Processing is almost 3 years if she hasn’t even applied for a now closed program.

We did not pay her anything for that, it was just family thing, she helped with the kid.
We can provide numerous photographs and videos of her taking care and playing with the kid as a proof and that is it.
I understand your point, that tax statements is the only acceptable proof.
I am not clear on the point that can I even provide a job offer, if I can, then it makes sense to further investigate, if not, then simply saying her no I cannot is the answer.
She is India and had a visitor visa but never came here.
Marc Miller announced new program this year with under one year processing, if that is what can be eleigible under the gaining experience type.
just a casual type discussion here

So it is not paid experience so doesn’t qualify for gaining experience category. The program is closed so read through the old requirements and the press release when the government said they would possible continue to the program. Government always promises quick processing and never happens. Also immigration programs for next year are drastically cut.

As for job offer and income then you need to look at your income and LICO for the number of people in your family. You need to figure out if you can afford a full time caregiver for the median salary for your region. Estimate $35k per year.
