Hello Seniors,

My father had gotten his G1 license when he was a PR. Unfortunately, due to not meeting his residency, he has lost his PR. I have sponsored him to come to Canada on the Super Visa.

I was wondering if it would be possible to renew his license / give the G2 test while he has lost his PR status and is in the country on a Super Visa? His license is expiring soon. Can we just go and apply for a renewal of the G1 itself? Or is he not elligible as he has lost his PR? Please advise and help.

Also, do we need to justify, why we didn't update the address and only making changes now, when he is back in the country?

Thanks.

Possibly, when did he get his G1 he has to complete the process in 5 years or start again at the beginning. He also has to have his G2 for about a year before he can do the test for his full G.

Once he is in the country he can continue. If you are visiting Ontario for more than 90 days you are expected to get an Ontario drivers licence.
