Hi jho111, yup I am from Cebu. try to register using this link... https://www.newcomersuccess.ca/index.php/register?lang=en-GB

I don't know why their replies nowadays are a little bit delayed. I registered sometime January and got their reply a day after. Within the week, I got a message from an Orientation Officer (OO) that I am scheduled for their Feb 8 seminar. My husband received their reply 2 days before the seminar coz late na cyang nag register. Wait mo na lng yong reply nila if not then try registering again using the same link. If you have a spouse/common law partner, register him/her din para sabay kayong mag attend. You may also inform the OO that you wish to attend the orientation with your spouse/common law partner para guided sila.

If I am not mistaken, mga sometime April or May yong next seminar nila sa Cebu. :)

jho111, wiat for their response lang. medyo may delay but they will get back to you - probably because the next schedule is not until mid-April.

Hi jangong, travel funds were thoroughly discussed during the PDOS conducted by Commission on Filipinos Overseas. According to them, if we are bringing out of the Philippines foreign currencies amounting to US$10,000 or more, we are required to declare the same in writing (declaration form) and to furnish information of the source and purpose of the transport of such currency.

Persons traveling together cannot divide the amount in order to avoid the restriction. We may obtain a declaration form for travel fund at the Bureau of Customs, Commission on Filipinos Overseas Office or at its NAIA counter. We are advised to bring documents that will show the sources of our funds.

Hahaha. No need to say sorry. Ganon talaga yon. Merong maaga and meron din namang nahuhuli. Di naman din kasi pwedeng sabay sabay talaga eh. Balance ba. hahaha. I am happy for you na meron nang PPRs and visas. At least, medyo nakakagaan na sa worries, diba. Goodluck talaga sa lahat. Sana ang mga dreams natin sa Canada will come true. :)

Happy Ash Wednesday to everyone!

May we remember that from dust we came, from dust we shall return. God bless.

Hi gabrielsjimenez, you can have all borrowed and non-borrowed money deposited in the account where you acquired your bank certification as proof of funds during the stage when we were requested to submit needed documents in CEM. If you remember, we were asked to show a certain amount of money thru a bank certification that we have such amount of money as proof of funds. You can still use that as your source of fund.

According to my agency, from the 100% of the show money we can bring 40% of it as cash while the other 60% as traveler's cheque purchased from commercial banks or obtained from any source since it is the safest to carry and it can be replaced if lost or stolen.
