Confusing information. What does "full documents package mean". I think it means the full package that we sent to the Visa office and not the CIO. What we sent to the CIO is just an applicaion, fees and english language prooof. So I am confused if the processing times reflect from the date the applicationw as received at CIO or the Visa office
it is always means " what we send to visa office not cio " processing time reflect individual visa office time line not cio time . and differs, like time line given by visa office is based on full package , if they have to ask you further documents , interview call, verification, further background check then your file will not fall into the category of what they call is normal processing time. it means your file will take longer time to process. hope this clears the air.

its tricky...

but it could also mean The time taken by the CIO to issue 1st AOR + Time taken by VO to finalise on receipt of full documents = Processing time.

The 120 days, given to send documents will not be counted as processing time...

Just another theory.....lol....

Looking at the trends here, I am expecting a verification call if any, only in the month of Dec 2011, PP request in Feb 2012 and stamped PP back in April 2012

So, that would be exactly two years since I sent initial applicationo CIO. But most defn better that the pre MI-1 conditions ( 80+ months of waiting !!)

This is for you because i said 101%..

Processing times for federal skilled worker applications processed by visa offices outside Canada
The tables below indicate application processing times at Canadian visa offices outside Canada. The times are based on how long it took to process 80 percent of all cases between April 1, 2010 and March 31, 2011. Processing times are subject to change.

May be you guys are right. But I still dont beleive so. I am not in a hurry to get the visa, but i rechecked the pasport tracking thread and what i could understand this 14 months is from the date of initial application in canada. I do even know a couple of guys who received their visa's in late April 2011 who got processed their application in 15 months (Both applied on Jan 29, 2010) total from the date of application received in canada. I am just pushing off from this topic. I dont think its worth debating. See you guys around with some other topic.

I believe the processing time that they refer to on the second AOR and the timelines in the CIC website are all from the date the visa office reveives the full docs package. So its not as you have mentioned it. The CIO just determines the eligibility. The 120 days is our head ache and its definetely not included in the processing time. I sent it when it was around 100 days!! I made the huge mistake of applying to CIO in April 2010. If I have waited for three more months I would have been in the Post June applications.

Dear Sir/Madam,

This is in response to your recent email enquiry to the Immigration Section of the Canadian High Commission in New Delhi.

You may have more than one application in process at the same time. If you already have an application for permanent residence in process there is no restriction against applying for a temporary visa or permit to visit or work or study in Canada.

In general, an applicant may apply for temporary resident visas while waiting for their permanent resident application to be processed. However, all applicants wishing to become temporary residents of Canada must satisfy an officer that they will leave Canada by the end of the temporary period authorized for their stay, that they will not contravene the conditions of admission, and that they are not in a category of persons inadmissible to Canada under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act.

Each case is decided on its own merits. In reaching a decision, an officer considers several factors, which may include the applicant’s travel and identity documents, the reason for travel to Canada and the applicant's contacts there, the applicant s financial means for the trip, and the applicant's ties to his or her country of residence, including immigration status, employment, property, and family ties. In order to issue a temporary resident visa, an officer must be satisfied that the applicant will respect the terms and conditions placed on their temporary entry to Canada, and depart at the end of their authorized stay, regardless of the outcome of their application for permanent residence.

We trust that this information will be of assistance.

Hi,
Is there any official notification or communication that applications post June 2010 are going to receive priority in the assessment. The processing time doesnt have a division like that.

yes, absolutely. There are official ministrial instructions to All visa offices for faster processing of Post June 2010 applicants.
Though this is a very bad news for the pre june applicants , as their wait times have increased to almost dubble.

I am wondering if its possible to withdraw the pre june application and file again. Its really frustrating. But then who knows they may again provite a date and tell that now its going to be fast for the Post Jan 2012 or something like that and then everyone before that waits. I am sure that this is a calculated method to invite as many applications as possible and then once hooked take their own time. Once one applies the percentage of withdrawing the applications must be very very less.

dont do the mistake of withdrawing. I did it and i'm repenting that.
Each application is independent.
