One query related to passport submission. I have read in this forum we can submit it at NDVO or VFS in person.
Do we have an option of submitting through courier to VFS. Thanks in advance.

Btw I am still waiting DM/PPR (Timelines on left); just couriered my pending foreign PCC today. Submitted other foreign PCC/RPRF receipts/Med receipts a month back.

My NOC is 2131.

As to your query, I do not think that having overseas PCC would affect our processing times, provided that we have clean records.

I Did my medicals on 19th May'15. TLU on 28th May'15. I had to send PCC from 3 countries-India, UK and Oman. I have send PCC's from India and UK. PCC from Oman is taking time, and hence asked for an extention.
So, even though my third line has been updated, there won't be any change in my status untill I submit PCC from Oman.

So, just want to let people know that if anyone needs PCC from Middle east, who used to reside there in the past, it would be wise to apply it well before VO asks for it as in my case it has created unnecessary delay.

I do not think overseas PCC is the reason for delay. Coz one of my friend who applied in Nov 2014 already got his PPR on 27th May and he was having an overseas PCC..

So can't really predict WVO working style... We just have to wait for our turns. Thanks!

VFS through courier ...No ! You need to visit them in person. They accept only cash, so that could be the main reason !

I strongly feel that VO clears/ processes file in batches rather than case by case. That is why we see a string of updates after every few days and then nothing in between.

After sending the scanned copies of PCC, VO has responded back " Please send original copies of police certificate, We can accept only original".

Have sent all copies by courier and it reached on 5th June.

I am hoping they will not ask PCC as per new rule ( 26th May) and will accept PCC from Passport office.

I don't think there are more than 1-2 DM/PPR from WVO in 2 weeks.

Hi Mohcanada.. I said so because it is mentioned in cic website itself that case to case processing might differ for eg if you worked in more than 1 country your processing might delay.. I also know various cases even some of my friends who had overseas PCC and got ppr very quick, but what happens they get security clearance may be very fast.. but in some cases they dont get security clearance quick.. thats why it actually affects case to case if overseas pcc is there..
