We renewed our passport after we had medicals. Waiting for PPR kami. Do we still need to inform CEM about our renewed passport details?

In our case my wife also renewed her passport after medicals because our agent advised to just submit her renewed passport when PPR arrives. No issues naman we just submitted and CEM never asked for any expalnation

Just want to share the good news, I received my passport with visa this morning. This is very unexpected as I just got the 4th line yesterday. Maybe it has something to do with the email I sent to CEM last week stating that I have a booked flight on July 11 (attaching the booking confirmation booked in April 5). Though, I still did not expect that they will deliver it back this early. But still I'm very much thankful.

Thank you also guys for all the help. Graduate na ko, finally!! ;D ;D ;D

Detailed timeline below:
PPR: May 22
Passport received by CEM: May 26
DM 4th line: June 11
Passport with visa received: June 12 (Happy independence day, indeed! LOL)

I was expecting din my PPR today kasi there were some who got their PPR in a week after their 3rd Line (June 4). kaso I guess I need to wait a bit more...

Hi, kakareceived ko lng ng passport namin. The initial visa validity when we received PPR is 10 Dec 2015, so we expected that validity will be shorten to September since my husband's passport will expire on 23 Mar 2016. Pero pagcheck ko s visa, same p rin ng initial validity which is 10 Dec. But anyway, we're really targeting to land in August kc ayaw namin magland ng winter

Ay talaga?!!! Bongga! Salamat po! This is so relieving. So you will bring both passports upon landing?! San po kayo sa Canada plano mag land? Maginaw ba talaga pag winter dun? Di ba advisable ang Jan 2016? hehe.

Hi Sir,

Yes po, bale ang Visa expiry will be the usual 1 year from the date you've done and cleared your meds exam. Aside from this, they will also consider your passport expiry. Since they cannot issue your Visa further than your current PP expiry. You cannot enter Canada ofcourse when you intend to land after your Visa is expired.

For example po..
- You have done your medicals June 1, 2015. Rightfully your Visa expiry will most probably be on June 1, 2016.
- But then again, your current PP expiry will be on April 1, 2016.
- For this case, they will only consider your Visa expiry only until April 1, 2016 or maybe earlier than that (say a month prior).

Share ko lang din ang forecast ko on my part:
- Meds done na kami June 8, 2015 (Praying everything are well and cleared).
- Expecting PPR around July 1, 2015 (estimate).
- Current Passport Expiry will be at August 11, 2016.
- Visa Expiry will be at June 8, 2016 (most likely).
- Will schedule for PP renewal on August 2015 (current PP is not yet e-passport).
- Will be intending to land around May 2016 (before the Visa expiry date).

Maam po ako sir! hehe. Thank you po for sharing. Pwde naman po din kayo mag request ng urgent renewal sa Philippine Embassy dito sa SG. You just need to email at: epassport.sgpe@gmail.com attaching your electronic appointment with documents that will prove na kailangan nyo asap. Ang ginawa ko, ina-tach ko yung mga request for MR letter ko together with my agent's advice(email) at explanation ko na baka irerequest na passport ko. I've also heard about passport extension (1year) ewan ko lng kung pwde ba yon sa cases natin na 1 yr pa naman expiry ng passports hehe.
