I got question to those who already sent their applications and did not hire consultant during the process.

I helped my girlfriend during her application for FSWP (3141) last month, and the consultant was able to sent her application on time. I noticed that the consultant was just checking her documents during the process, except for job history and sending the file to CIC. That gave me an impression that I did not need them to save money, because I already knew what they would do. I am an Electronics & Communication Engineer by degree, but my professional experience was Web Development and Software Engineering for 9 years. I'm just waiting for WES this week and I'm about to send my application to CIC this week. My current job description is Application Developer.

What should I put in NOC code?

Regarding WES

First, I have three diplomas and i had them assessed all together by WES at the same time at the same cost. Meaning no additional cost.

You have to send all your diplomas yourself- your college and masteral. Photocopy only.
Then filled out the WES form and submit it to your school upon request of TORs. THe school will send your TORs directly to WES. The school must put the TOR and signed WES form inside the envelope and seal it.

Other applicants including me, had sent the diplomas and TORs inside one package only. This cut the cost of courier fee. They put the school as their sender address. In my case and some othesr, we put our own address as the sender's address.

It is recommended but not mandatory for married women to also include their marriage certificate so the husband family name will also be reflected in the WES report.

After ALL documents were received by WES, processing period is 7 days plus 3-4 days shipping period.

The report consists of a cover letter from WES and two copies of original report. So when you send one to CIC, you still have one left for your file. A re-order can be made if necessary upon payment of appropriate fee.

As to NOC, it will depend on the job descriptions you have which you want the CIC to assess in your favor. Here in the Philippines, our job position titles are not regulated, Pati job descriptions hindi din regulated. Filipino culture also influences the workplace. Mahilig tayo gumawa at tumulong kahit di kasama sa job descriptions. Ang mga employers naman basta kaya i accomodate, ipapagawa sa employees without promotion or change of designation.

Here's my situation:

I applied for QSW last Oct 2013 and I have received AOR last Dec 19.

I am planning to apply to FSW 2014 with NOC code 3011. I have relatives in Ontario which will be part of my declaration for the 5 points in "Adaptability" category.

Kaya mas gusto ko sana sa Ontario tumira if ever.

The question, "Intended Province" on the application form is quite tricky.

When you select any other province other than Quebec, the question "Have you received CSQ", "Please Indicate the Number", and "Indicate the date" turns to gray.

mga bossing, cic website specify to get NBI clearance sa Taft Avenue branch: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/asia-pacific/philippines.asp

Question is, is it ok to get the NBI clearance in the province or any branch other than taft?
