Hello fellow FSWmates, meron po ba dito who already landed with 2 passports? (One with the Visa Stamp), and (A renewed passport)?
Or baka naman may lilipad na jan soon na dalwa ang planong dalhin na passports dahil ng expire na ung isa na may visa pero visa is valid parin.

Appreciate your thoughts! God Bless!

Hi Mau, in my experience parati kong binibigy ang 2 passports ko sa immigration pagnagtatravel ako (the one with the visa and my renewed passport). no need to staple it, as long as ipapakita mo sa kanila ung dalawang passport mo.

Hello. Finally we have received the MR. They are also requesting for a certification issued by the NBI outlining all criminal cases charges. I have been involved kasi in a car accident although the case has already been dismissed. Did anyone of you receive the same request? How do I get it? Is it the same as getting the NBI clearance? Thanks

Congratulations! What's your timeline po?

Hi Mau_Gno,

In my case, I just staple my passports together when I travel. They'll check your visa which is in your old passport but stamp on your new one.

Thanks!

Thank you po!
Are you landing soon in October 2015?
Hoping to hear your experience with the double passport po!

Hi CIN1117, thank you po sa reply! Have you experienced this in your previous Visas? Or Your landing in Canada as well?

Hi Mau_Gno,

Yes, October na. Will post my landing experience here, and I really hope it'll be a good and easy one!

Thanks!

Hello po!

i_am_lexi i think we have similar case but we are still waiting for the "decision made" :( :( :( medyo kinakabahan na rin kami ng wife ko and keep praying and hoping. Halos magkasunod lang yung timeline natin and we're base in SG din.

My timeline:

Sep 12, 2014 - application received
Dec 31, 2014 - PER

Jul 23, 2015 - CEM requested additional requirements (letter of explanation stating details how we acquired my settlement funds and proof of funds)

Aug 03, 2015 - All docs requested sent to CEM as per their request and received as per Aug 08, 2015 (halos din ng proofs sinend din namin)

Until now still in "In process"
1. We received your application for permanent residence on September 12, 2014.
2. We started processing your application on January 22, 2015.

Excited na kinakabahan na din... :-\ :-\ :-\ Please update naman po yung may mga latest info about your application status. Thanks!

Update lang po regarding my previous post:

Nakareceive po ako ng email kahapon with 3 attachments, a letter requesting our lacking documents (singapore police clearance, qatar police clearance and update personal history, Complete medical examination, Payment of the RPRF. Tapos po it stated na isend daw nila yung forms for medical within 72 hours. and need to submit within 30 days from the date of letter. Ito na po ba yung MR?

I heard yung Qatar Police Clearance will take up to 3 days to 3 mos. in processing kaso lang 30 days lang binigay na deadline. Pwede po ba yun ipahabol in case madelay? Any advise po na may same case with mine?

Thank you po and waiting for your expert advise.

Guys I have question.

I have a consultant based in Canada and I asked him if I should let him know if I will marry my girlfriend before I will enter the first time in Canada this coming April 2016.This is his answer:

IF YOU MARRY BEFORE ENTERING CANADA, THEN YOU CANNOT (I REPEAT), YOU CANNOT USE THE VISA THAT WAS GIVEN TO YOU.

IF YOU WANT TO ENTER CANADA FIRST, BECOME AN IMMIGRANT….AND THEN GO BACK TO MARRY…THAT IS THE BETTER OPTION IF YOU WANT.

PLEASE CONFIRM THAT YOU WILL NOT MARRY BEFORE LANDING IN CANADA THE FIRST TIME

Bakit na man hindi ko magagamit ang visa ko if I will get married I'm really confused and disappointed if this is true. I need your opinion sana mga kababayan kung sino meron experience or idea in this kind of situations.Maraming salamat po.

Hindi mo pwede gamitin yung visa kung magpakasal ka bago magland dahil iiba yung family composition mo. When you made that application, it is on the basis that you are single. The embassy requires you to inform them whenever you change your family composition (get married, get divorced, have children, etc.) because they become included (or excluded) from your application during the processing stage. Now that you have completed processing, you cannot change the conditions for which the visa was given to you. Land in Canada first, then get married and sponsor your spouse. That is, in fact, the better option.

You can get married before landing but you have to inform CEM about it for the change of status and family composition. Otherwise, you cannot get your wife. Nabasa ko sa ibang forum is that after he was issued visa, he got married, he informed his vo about the marriage, then, he was asked to return his visa and it was retained in the possession of the vo while the wife was being added in his application. on-going pa ata ito. So ibig sabhin, kukunin sayo yang pp mo with ur visa and cannot leave until your wife is added to your app. Siguro yun yung ibang sabihin ng agent mo na you cannot use your visa. di ko lang kasi alam if you would be issued another visa for that.

Hi Antoyax.

Just to share what i read in other forum.

"You have two options:
1. Either you land before you marry, then go back and get married, then return to Canada and sponsor your spouse for PR.

OR

2. You get married now, return your PR visa to your visa office stating you got married and request that your wife be added to your application. Your wife will need to fill out forms for background checks etc. and do medicals. If your wife is found medically inadmissible, so will you. If all goes well, you both get your PR visas and can land in Canada together.

Hope it helps.
God Bless!
