Regarding employment letter from employer as asked by Colombo VO, can anyone please advise, if we need to send the responsibility letter freshly dated and signed or just a letter saying that this person is working with us since this date...

According to your timeline you have landed. why are they asking you now about employment letter.

No idea. No one can predict the working of CVO. Even iam on same boat. For some they go fast for some they are tooo sloww. Good luck for speedy ppr.

If you do not have PCC from many countries, I mean if you are not carrying travel history and you have submitted all documents accordingly they ask, you should expect your PPR this week or next week. Good luck!

If you have travel history, then it consume time since they do security background checks by using Interpol and other methods.

The employment letter should state how long you have been working along with the job responsibilities. Do not forget to mention the working hours. It should have min 40hr/week.

I have received PPR on 8/10/15, I have applied for fsw under my old passport. Than in march updated passport as got married and added spouse name. I have lost my old cancelled passport and I have raised same topic few days back and few of friends suggested no need to worry for it. My medicals and PCC done on new passport.

At this stage I have tried to lodge a complaint but police suggested that no need to lodge a complaint for old cancelled passport, even regional passport office said the same thing. I haven't submitted my passport yet as waiting for my spouse to come to India.

In the mean time if anyone has passed through similar situation or has knowledge regarding this please let me know as what would to say to cic New Delhi if they requested old passport as I don't have complaint paper from police station.

I have received PPR on 8/10/15, I have applied for fsw under my old passport. Than in march updated passport as got married and added spouse name. I have lost my old cancelled passport and I have raised same topic few days back and few of friends suggested no need to worry for it. My medicals and PCC done on new passport.

At this stage I have tried to lodge a complaint but police suggested that no need to lodge a complaint for old cancelled passport, even regional passport office said the same thing. I haven't submitted my passport yet as waiting for my spouse to come to India.

In the mean time if anyone has passed through similar situation or has knowledge regarding this please let me know as what would to say to cic New Delhi if they requested old passport as I don't have complaint paper from police station.

pls lodge a complaint and get it documented that your old passport is lost.it is for your own safety and also for future just incase. am surprise that a police officer will tell you not to lodge for complaint for a 'recent' expired missing international passport even if it is cancelled. this is not about CIC its about other aspects of life. a friend of mine's old passport was found on a crime scene, before he could explain himself, he was 1st behind bars before the case went to court.
also if your applying for visas to some countries they might/will ask if you had other passports......and if you say YES THAT IT WAS STOLEN........where is the proof.........except you were not using the international passport at all

Thank you very much my friend for your precious reply, at last by putting a lot of effort and references police station person got convinced to take a complaint. I did affidavit of lost passport and than submitted it too police station with my passport (old and new) copies.

On photocopy of affidavit he wrote about received date of affidavit and complaint date , which I will submit to CIC. Also they will issue certificate of complaint in few weeks after finishing their legal investigation or other formalities.

I just wrote things in detail just in case god forbid someone need the information like me.
