Can't help regarding processes but generally speaking flying is considered safe until week 36-37. Best to ask the gyno though
Thats correct and he has to decide quickly. He thought today Sean would announce something to extend expiring WP’s.

I was speaking to my friend who is a CEC. His WP expires in June 2022. His wife is 4 months pregnant and they are expecting the baby in August 2022. The problem is what if he does not get an invite by June 2022 and he has to leave with his pregnant wife who would be 8 months in June 2022 which is highly risky for flight travel. He is having a mental breakdown to take a decision on whether to send his wife back home so that she can deliver her baby in India or take risk and wait till June. He said he doesnt want his kid to go thru the same visa related issues being born in India. At the same time, he cannot take risk with his baby and wife. I donno what to tell him.
OUCH!

Tell him, if he is NOT cash limited to look into option of visitor visa or visitor record. That should give him six months of stay atleast and Child a Canadian Birth Certificate. Also tell him to NOT apply for a Canadian passport.. Consult someone knowledgible and apply for Indian passport first. That way kid can have dual citizenship till they are 18. This is one loop-hole in Indian citizenship law that allows kids to be dual citizens till they turn 18. It makes their lives easier than say having a OCI. He can actually apply for Canadian Passport after he gets an Indian one.

Once more consult someone who knows their stuff... A good lawyer with knowledge of Indian and Canadian citizenship laws...

Indians can't have dual or multiple citizenship?:O

Indian adults cann't. The moment they take citizenship of another country their Indian citizenship vanishes. If they take passport of another country after birth before taking passport of India, same.

So you have to register your kid with Indian mission for him to get citizenship of India.

Interesting. Is there any specific reason behind this?

Indian government and beuracracies are scaredy cats. They are worried big bad foreigners will come en-masses in India and will control India. Mostly they are worried Indian citizens having citizenship of another country will use it to "sabotage" India or buy all farm-land or steal all beautiful fair girls or these days ... cows.

They're never going to budge unless they are dragged to court. I remember somebody posted here about a bunch of us getting together and filing a case against them. I don't fucking know what we could do legally but an immigration lawyer might. This is just fucking unacceptable. You can't fucking keep people in limbo and then shove an iron rod up their asses. Who the fuck gave them the right to play with people's lives like that.

I remember Valentine's Day 2021 was the CEC mega draw. Valentine's Day 2022, immigration levels announcement. It looks like IRCC likes to fuck FSWs every Valentine's Day. They should at least buy us dinner first.

I can't believe it. Just can't. It does look like the memo was right all along. Nov 2020 and ongoing ITA will not be processed until July 2022. All of us will become a part of 2023 quota. Essentially, pushing all of us to 3 years of processing time.

I don't think there are legal provisions for filing a class action lawsuit against IRCC for delayed processing. The best you can do is wait for 18 months post AOR and file a mandamus, if you can afford it. It is going to be expensive, but from some cases I have seen so far, it does seem to move along processing without even going to court.
