Will the changes in NOC announced by CIC few days ago significantly affect us? I read the whole page and got confused. The only knowledge I obtained is about the 5 digit code and Teer 123456 instead of OABCD.
I am also curious that when they will release the NoC table.

Most people will not be affected at all there is nothing to worry for now

Good to see IRCC picking up pace with the re-issuance of COPRs although I'm not sure why they want to prioritize US-based applicants while not giving much attention to the rest of the world.

Depends on your criteria of what a "first-world" country is, I don't think the US would fit the bill when measured with bureaucracy and IT infrastructure. If we factor those in, I see Nordic countries and advanced Asian nations the only ones being eligible for the first-world status. Personally though, I look at the GDP per capita.

not saying US-based applicants have it easier but from what I have seen so far, PPRs issued to US residents are more frequent than to all others. The US residents were getting PRs even before the travel restrictions were removed when no one else was getting them. As a whole, the numbers are still pretty low but still higher than FSW non-US residents.
