All this depends on one key thing, will the students WANT to keep coming?

I don't want to say yes or no, but I am sure Canada will have to pivot to African countries or failing countries like Egypt or Pakistan significantly because cat's out of the bag in India.

They will make likely make PR easier. Canada does not get expats because expats have a plethora of choices. Only PR hopefuls come here.

Looks like Canada pissed off China some time back so they had to pivot to India to make up the international student loss and now Canada decided to pick a fight with India too.

My elder kid starts college in 2025 and the next one in 2027 after reading the stuff about students and Canadian colleges and unis I doubt I want any of my kids to start college here.

If they can go to a good uni in Canada, that's good for them. At the end, pedigree is no longer a career dominating force anymore.

Hi everyone, I received OINP notification of interest under the health category. My ECA from WES says not comparable to completed Canadian education credentials. It also says my education is equivalent to three years of hospital study and training. Can I be refused the provincial nomination because of this?
My current CRS score is 412

Unfortunately, we Indians, are already begging the government of Canada, on twitter of all places, to extend PGWPs. I can understand the frustration of these students and temporary migrants but resorting to begging on the internet? Instead of taking actions to improve their chances, they beg. It’s pathetic. This is the image we portray to the world and we wonder why we’re treated like crap in a lot of countries. I’ve experienced this in the Gulf, where we Indians, are viewed as slaves and beggars. How do we except any country to respect our people when we have zero self respect? I’m ashamed of their actions.

I grew up watching Indian movies. It reminded me that in every movie there was someone begging lol Well, there wouldn't be 1.5 bln people if there was a little self-respect I guess. Bunch of ppl f*cking not caring what happens to their kids

Mate, there's hordes of Indian girls on student visas/work permits willing to hitch up with anyone with a PR. The economy might be going downhill but some other markets are bustling...

RPN needs a college degree program. In Ontario you do not need registration so that part is okay.

Hmmm...

• Completion of a university or college registered psychiatric nursing program is required.

The requirement is not really a degree but a program. If program gives you diploma, then it should be fine. Try other agencies. There is one by BCIT. There are others too. Sometimes WES can be a bit of a sour puss. If money is not that big of an issue, hit all of them at the same time.

Why aren't men doing that too? A friend of mine used to sell auto Insurance when he landed here many years back. He joked about having spoken to many asian students / their partners. Most of them are males in their 20s married to Canadian Women in their 50 or even 60s. Most of those Canadian women couldn't even pronounce the surnames of their husbands or partners. It was so easy for my friend to guess the reason behind those couples, supposedly before 2010 getting a CAN PR was very tough it seems.

I wish to marry to tall blonde russian chick when I hit 60, psst don't tell my wife.

Some do. If you watch 90 day fiance, you can what some dudes willing to lower themselves for a green card. It's deeper than that though but not something I'm bothered to type out here. It's a conversation to be had over some beers and weed

If you really want to live the western life, feel free to have/not have your identity(nationality, religion, etc) - but stop worrying about the image. Think about the maturity of someone who is going to generalize a very large population based on limited experiences. I don't think most of these people go way too far in lives, and they are unlikely to be someone who will ever impact our lives.
