Oh, I agree. I understand we've all disregarded the vaccine excuse at this point, but for some reason I just keep coming back to this dumb rationale of "now that FSW peasants are vaxxed in their country, let's start finalizing them so they can come in without our having to use our surplus on them". Many of us could have had our apps processed, landed and gotten vaccinated in Canada earlier on this year (before than in our respective countries) if they hadn't frozen us over.

And @PRANIT01 , I agree with you too. The unemployment rate sounds like a better argument. Tough to convince people that they need more immigrants when unemployment rates are still high.

I guess the only truth we can all agree on is that IRCC's lack of transparency this year has been excruciating.
Does the employment excuse make sense with CEC? I mean they may have jobs yes, but not all of them do right

Not sure if this sounds crazy to you guys, but I honestly think that making 2021 a CEC-only fest has been a way for IRCC to signal their desire for lots more international $tudent$.

Let prospective immigrants (all those who are just starting out their Canadian journey as well as those who have worked hard for the past few years) agonize a bit during the pandemic so all those 1M+ promised immigrants over the next three years can see that they'll be better (and perhaps more quickly) rewarded if they focus towards our study pathways ASAP...

Or maybe I'm just being paranoid? o_O

If this was true then we would have seen study permit approval in droves instead it's rejection in droves because everyone and their dog is applying for a study permit in hopes of getting free PR later.

Oh damn, didn't know study permit rejection rates have been high. Anecdotally, a few friends have had their study permits approved this year (rather quickly), whereas our PPR rain forecasts / FSW draws predictions have proved false repeatedly.

Anyway, there is no logic at all, I guess.

In the circular that we saw recently like ,Ircc will start fsw in 2022 ,is it about draw/processing?
Its about processing. But I believe that memo was from June 1st week which is much before the updates on allowing COPR holders to travel to Canada (21st June 2021) as well as border reopening to travelers around the world (7th Sept 2021).

Thank you,but for me it is the same as CEC is still their priority.

I think that regardless of the travel restrictions being lifted, they would want to follow that memo to the letter; we’ve already seen some things specified in the memo already happening (like the reduction in CEC invites). I feel they want to land as much inlanders as possible this year to meet the target; they would then shift focus to outlanders in the Q1 of 2022. Memo also hinted that draws could happen before the year runs out although I personally think the chances are pretty low. If that memo is anything to go by, 2022 might be a positive year for us all.

Yes while a lot of points specified in the memo are already happening, I am hopeful that the expired COPR backlog would get completed soon enough. And add to that the trickle of PPRs for PNPs and a few FSWs has already begun. Whether that picks up pace for the remaining backlog in November 2021 or in Q1 2022 it remains to be seen.

I also think it’s pointless to move their focus if they want to get close to meeting the targets. Inland don’t have PPR and travel stage do complete landings, which could take up to 2 months. Right now most outland PPR wouldn’t land this year. Since their landing rate is mostly using inland VO, they would continue that while processing outlander with outland VOs as it starts opening up I guess. It’s strange that Sydney is processing outland PNPs though. It’s also weird how VOs in countries that are clearly open like London is still in a coma.

Too many morons on this threads nowadays I see.
what the f*ck is going on in your entitled minds to think that you deserve more of a chance than someone who actually helped Canada in his home country and could face death if he is not out from it for ever the soonest!!
The amount if comments I read daily from some people in here make me sick. You have the right to be angry at IRCC for their lack of transparency but you have jacksh*t to be angry against other categories: CEC, PNP, Refugees, Parents and Grandparents.
Canada will open its door again for FSW, be patient and stop abusing others.
Next time Sir, think before you talk. No need to go all rude on you, you aren’t worth it bro. Lol.
