Someone posted here that FSW outlanders in AskKubeir group are planning some kind of legal action against IRCC because of all this delay, if there is no movement in September/October, maybe we should also support that.
Not worth it. Let's just wait for September

As someone was discussing here the other day, looks like life in Canada seems to be getting back to normal.

Maroon 5 Will Be First Major US Act to Perform in Canada After Border Reopening

The reopening of the crossing last week means U.S. acts can finally perform again in the Great White North.

Maroon 5 will keep a scheduled Sept. 2 date at Budweiser Stage in Toronto after the land border between Canada and the U.S. reopened last week to fully vaccinated Americans and permanent residents, Billboard has learned.

“This step opens possibilities to get Canada back on the touring map for sure,” Arthur Fogel, chairman of global touring, Live Nation, tells Billboard in an emailed statement. “Some artists already have shows planned with more conversations picking up.”

The documents which he had shared previously categorizing outland applications into three buckets - A, B & C were all based on border reopening. And at the moment, there's nothing to suggest that the border reopening will be delayed. With mandatory vaccination in some cases and vaccine passports in various provinces, I guess everyone seems to be trying to avoid any further lockdowns. And moreover, I believe some people have started receiving visitor visas as well. So hopefully everything looks on track.
all these internal memos, documents don't really mean much until we start seeing things in action. I'm keeping my hopes up for September 7

Gonna delete and recreate my EE profile after the draw today. Can't believe I didn't get an invite in a whole year (since Jan) with CRS 481 lol. It upsets me I won't get to crush @Jaycejay like a cockroach in tie-break. You can't have all you want in life I suppose...

Also its been just a day after the questionnaire deadline ended. Hope they have done some analysis on the results. All the higher authorities have met and and a decision.
I hope so too, although I wouldn't believe much of what the current form of IRCC and the govt say since they lied too much this year.

True that. Though I feel if they start finalizing / processing apps once the border reopens, then it would still take some time for those whose meds etc. have expired. Nonetheless even getting a remed request etc. would be enough to indicate things are moving.

Immigration is not a visit visa amigo. No one just wakes up one day to think "Hey I'm going to spend the rest of my life in Canada", applies for immigration, and then forgets about it. It takes a lot out of a person especially for those who come from poor countries and are desperate to leave.
Making them wait the golden years of their youth isn't cool.
Yeah it's not cool; but modern day slavery!? lol.. That's a bit of a stretch don't you think?
Making you wait for what couple of years because of a pandemic? You can still live your youth wherever you are - that's a subjective statement. You are not very smart if you don't take in account the global state of affairs as it relates to pandemic. It's frustrating sure, but it's for a good reason and patience is the key. Rather than labeling a country as imposing modern day slavery when it's giving skilled immigrants from all over the world a chance to immigrate. So freakin dumb!

Lets live the next 14 days in anticipation thinking about the fsw draw on 1st!
I feel like we are in a loop that resets biweekly
Nah man I've dropped the case for myself already. Now I'm just enjoying the decreasing easy PR CEC counts.

Just look at travel options to Canada right now, it's a total mess. Some students are paying upwards of 3000 CAD to travel from India for their fall course, completely insane. I would rather buy a 3080Ti with that money instead of an air ticket.
