First port of Entry is where you do your immigration and customs. You will be asked questions about your baggage if you brought anything suspicious otherwise baggage will be cleared. There are immigration checks done outside the US for US travelers. When you are travelling in Etihad Airways, customs will be done in Abu Dhabi airport itself for US travelers, so I will land in a Domestic terminal in the US and come out quickly. I was asked questions about my baggage in Abu Dhabi airport at the US CBP office in Abu Dhabi airport.

Which airways are you travelling from? Are the airways same like from India to Vancouver to Calgary?

Recently my parents travelled from Delhi to Vancouver to Edmonton and they traveled via Air India from India and air canada for canada and they too had just 2 hours layover from Vancouver to Edmonton.

They were issued 2 boarding passes 1) delhi to Vancouver and 2) Vancouver to Edmonton.
Also, they got their luggage directly at Edmonton and not Vancouver.
And just in case if things mess up at Vancouver airport and you miss the flight the airlines arranges next flight ticket for your for free.

Saw your post history. 4 months after ADR doesn't make sense. Did you order notes to see the progress?

I came back a week ago. Since I got the PPR, I preponed the trip, registered the marriage. Had the traditional ceremony and everything went well brother. Now back to US. Wanted to leave US forever, but that did not work out for me.

Nah not spending more cash on ircc. Called instead and the agent said eligibility recommended passed and background not started. No issues noted on file...no due date indicated by officer...just gotta wait

I'm in a whatsapp group of atleast 25 people who got adrs in Feb and 1st week of March....so yeah...there should be way more like us

I saw an average of 1-2 months after adr to get a final decision. That’s something I expected. However, you are correct; with IRCC, expect nothing and you won’t be disappointed.

EU and the US flight connections are risky since pandemic. 99% folks may have good experiences but me or you anyone here could fall in the 1%. i avoided connections since pandemic. immigration usually takes 45 minutes to 3 hours depending on the traffic. Toronto takes an hour and a half on average.

I will take back my word. I am not gonna leave US forever. I want to go back to US when I don't need to worry about my immigration status. So, I will move back after 4 years.

True. BA and KLM are the worst. Even Air Canada and United Airlines stopped flights abruptly and caused so much chaos recently. They are not trustworthy. I would go with Qatar or Emirates or Etihad any day, 3 of the best Airlines in the world.
