I can just imagine like 500 people applying for 1 data analyst job if that happens lol. Salaries gonna go down, and queue everyone trying to move to us. Noc specific draws will be negative imo for Canadian govt atleast

And most taxi drivers are met are financial analysts or engineers in their home country. Idk how they are on the noc code list

Positive in my opinion, not necessarily every cab driver would be a financial analyst. NOC specific draws give a chance to high scoring candidates that meet the NOC demand will be selected. [My opinion]

This is something I don't get and would like to discuss. Doesn't personal history pertain to what you were doing as an occupation at the time? That is, if you were unemployed and travelling you MUST put it there, but if you were otherwise employed and took a weekend trip, that shouldn't be included, should it? They would've surely asked for a Travel History form alongside a Schedule A?

That's correct. If you were employed, no travel or vacation period needs to be declared. If you were unemployed, then you need to declare what you were doing during that period (for example: unemployed, studying, travelling, retired, in detention, etc.).

In my case, I had overlap between working and studying so I declared both working and studying with overlapping time recorded.

Form and letter. I assume both parents still married or common law, but papa is not going with them on the trip? if this is not the case, then court papers will be required as well.

I did not even notice that and already submit my Schedule A. My spouse got a rejection before but I only mentioned that in my spouse schedule A and not mine. @scylla what should I do? send a webform or just wait for them to get back to me?

You didn't get a rejection, so why do you need to mention on yours? You are married to your spouse but still separate entities.

Well I missed reading it but it says on the form "Have you, or, if you are the principal applicant, any of your family members listed in your application for permanent residence in Canada, ever " I just realized it today when someone asked question relating to it. I have mentioned her rejection on her schedule A but not mine.

Now is that okay or do I need to write them a webform?

I think you are fine since you mentioned it on her own schedule A form, but no harm in sending an updated one via webform. You'd probably get your PPR before they look at it anyways .

I don't remember whether i have declared it while lodging file

If within 5 years it should have been in your travel history. The address history documents where you lived while you studied, worked, etc.

Alright, so the plan so far for soft landing:

1. Land in Canada. Give friend's address on PR card.
2. Get SIN number in the next couple of days, if not in Service Canada counter at the airport.
3. Get Bank account sorted and order a credit card at the same address. Credit card will help me establish a credit rating by the time I land next time.
4. Also get a UPS mail box which provides me a real address in Canada for receiving mail while I am not there. They can also ship internationally or a local address that I choose.
5. Get back to my home country and wait for PR card and credit card to arrive
6. Profit

After that I should be able to return to Canada in my own time with a job and an established credit rating. After that I can get a car and my own place without much hassle, I think.

What else should I look into? Have I overlooked anything?

You're technically not allowed to ship PR card internationally by mail. If Canadian customs see it, they might seize it. So, not sure what your friend would declare when shipping it. I'd advise PRTD when traveling and collecting it from your friend (or if your friend comes to India, he can bring it).

Very unlikely they'll check for it. But still technically seizable at Canada customs. Once they get on the plane, there won't be any issues after that.
