After reading your post, I checked my profile and I had a GU for the first time ever! Could it be a system glitch if many people see it, or are they really working on our files? :)

Glitch is most likely. I also received a reply to my web form inquiry I sent a month ago. That was probably it for me.

No PPR on the way if you ask me.

Still a while to go.

I think the ghost update was for the web form inquiry I sent a month ago. I received a reply for it today.

Someone probably opened my file to access information.

Looks like PPR still away from me.
I don't think we receive a GU for web form replies. Never happened to me.
Hopefully it's related to PPR.
May I ask if it was a generic response or a real answer to your enquiry?

Canada’s immigration backlog now exceeds 2 million persons
IRCC's temporary residence inventory increased with the introduction of the Canada-Ukraine Authorization for Emergency Travel.
Immigration Canada’s processing inventory now stands at more than 2 million people across all lines of business.

The temporary and permanent residence backlog has increased. Meanwhile, the citizenship backlog went down to about 400,000 persons in April, compared to more than 453,000 in March.

The backlog has progressed as follows since last summer:
  • April 11-12, 2022: - 2,031,589 persons
  • March 15 and 17, 2022: - 1,844,424 persons
  • February 1, 2022: - 1,815,628 persons
  • December 15, 2021: - 1,813,144 persons
  • October 27, 2021: - 1,792,404 persons
  • July 6, 2021: - 1,447,474 persons
CIC News requested new inventory data on April 28. Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) responded on the same day with April 11 figures. CIC News has put in a follow-up request for the most recent data. CIC News is also reporting the data the same way it was received from IRCC.

CUAET driving the increase
Most of the gains between March and April were seen in the temporary residence inventory. As of April 11, there are more than 1.1 million temporary residence applicants, such as people applying for work and study permits, waiting on processing. On March 17, there were around 870,000 people.

According to an IRCC media spokesperson, the inventory for temporary resident visas and work permits has increased significantly recently with the introduction of the Canada-Ukraine Authorization for Emergency Travel (CUAET). This program allows IRCC to bring people to Canada through existing temporary resident visa processes, networks and infrastructure. It is a temporary residency pathway to Canada and not a refugee program. As of April 29, IRCC has received 180,903 CUAET applications.

Slight increase among permanent residence applicants but Express Entry is improving amid return to all-program draws in July
On April 11, the permanent residence inventory stood at about 530,000 people, up from nearly 519,000 in March. Slight increases were experienced across each permanent residence category.

There has been a reduction in the Express Entry backlog. In April, there were more than 45,000 Express Entry applicants waiting on decisions, down from about 52,000 in March.

The reduction in Express Entry files was the impetus that led Immigration Minister Sean Fraser to announce that all-program draws will resume in July, and processing times will return to six months for most new applicants. Rounds of invitation have been temporarily paused for the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) since December 2020. Canadian Experience Class (CEC) candidates have not seen a draw since September 2021. Express Entry is the main way IRCC welcomes skilled immigrants.

Conclusion
IRCC continues to grapple with a large inventory exacerbated by the pandemic. IRCC has a budget of $85 million to reduce wait times for newcomers. This funding builds on the work that IRCC has already done to reduce wait times, such as hiring new processing staff, digitizing applications, and reallocating work among IRCC offices around the world. Despite these efforts, many people continue to experience wait times far in excess of IRCC’s standards. IRCC announced in January its intention to bring service standards back to normal for a variety of lines of business by the end of this year.
LOL what happened to CEC, looks like they are put on the backseat ? I was expecting them to be cleared by April with the pace they started at the beginning of March.

Also the PNP backlog seems a bit huge man. Only FSW applications show a good improvement so far. Very good actually. They were 45K in March. So they might have dropped to 34K by now since April 11th.

I submitted a document (PCC) with more details about it. Everyone else was asked the document number and expiry date of PCC but I wasn't.

Being the cautious person I am I sent a web form with PCC (again) attached along with PCC details. The reply was a generic "everything appears to be in order with the application."

Oh, isn't there any change in the application information?

When did you send it? I sent a replacement schedule A on March 14th and haven't got a reply for it yet. My subsequent trivial webforms have got replies though.

Typically, you get a profile update only when an officer adds/changes something. So, at least, someone actively worked at yours. Hopefully, it kick-started something.

2nd week of April. The reply was very generic and mentioned nothing about the document.

It cold also be the GCMS I ordered about a week ago.

Dears,

I need an urgent advice regarding a point.

1. While filling the PR application last year, in work history I did not mention a job that I worked for around a month and left without a proper relieving process. It was a toxic environment, I was young, and just one day decided not to work there anymore. I do not have any document apart from the offer letter. That period is included as 'unemployed' in my work history in the PR application.

Now that I have received an ADR for scheduleA, should I add this or not. If yes, how could I explain why I did not mention it earlier. Will it be a problem, or mis representation. I am not aware how they verify the information on missing work history.

Really appreciate your reply/advice. Thanks

Hello, buddies!

I received ADR asking for PCC and Schedule A yesterday.

I truly need your wisdom on whether need I to provide the Japanese PCC under my situation.

The fact is I had studied in Japan between Oct 2007 and Sep 2008. It has been 12 years since I left there until the day I submitted my PR application on Nov 2020 (the month received AOR).

I learned that the PCC will be required by systems if 1) every country I stay 6 months or longer in a row after the age of 18 and 2) every country I stayed in during the last 10 years for 6 months or more in a row from the Official website of IRCC. That " and " word makes believe that only if the 2 conditions been fulfilled, the PCC of that country will be necessary to provide to IRCC. In another word, I don't to submit PCC of Japan.

Beyond that, there is another example on the same website which deepen my perspective on this problem. It reads

" Example B: 7-months stays 20 years ago.

Feras is 45 years old. he worked in Turkey for 7 months when he was 25 years old, the system will not ask him for Police Certificates from Turkey."

The scenario in this example is definitely analogue with my case because both of them all exceed 10 years between the day we leaving the related foreign country stayed longer than 6 months in a row and the day we apply for the Canadian PR.

The reason why it makes me feel so confused is that the time requirements for issuing a Japanese PCC is going to be 2-3 months. Not only I must ask about an extension of deadline to submit this document to IRCC, but it will be of another few months to wait with the uncertainty which really makes me feel frustrated after all this lengthy waiting.

Your help will be highly appreciated and hopefully, everyone in this thread get a good result soon.

Sorry you're in similar circumstances guys @Drackler kler @nadiao @esc....unlucky ones I guess. @stirredo @Hokage @OneStepAtATime @dankboi have you champs gotten your good news yet..
Thanks for thinking about me. Unfortunately there's no good news on my side: I'm still a pre-ITA waiting for July to come around. (In fact I don't really belong to the group of people you've pinged haha). Hoping you'll get some good news soon! The latest figures from cicnews show that applications are being cleared at a steady pace.
