Even with record numbers, they still 44,3k every month to reach their target. Even giving CECs COPR in 1 month, the most they got was 39k. They will need Outland landings.
This logic makes no sense to me. Everything about outland applications is more cumbersome and tedious. They have zero need to attempt to process outland applications (based on this logic alone. They may do one or the other regardless, that's not what I'm talking about
)

Except the cumbersome and tedious work has been done for the majority of the 2019 and 2020 apps. They only have to issue pprs now.

I'm not saying they won't process PPRs or won't process outland applications. I'm just saying that this idea that they *need* to process outland applications to meet their targets is ridiculous.

I still think they will start issuing outland PPRs en masse very soon.

I visited Australia for one year to do my Post-Doc they never even stamped my passport when I arrived or left their borders. Everything was electronic. I was surprised when I heard that Canada needs my passport to give me the visa.
Why didnt you guys stick to Australia ? Or why do you prefer Canada ?

I think for countries like Canada, Spain, UK, and the likes, the idea of lockdowns is now totally obsolete. These countries have the best vaccination rates in the world and moving forward they will never revert to the archaic general lockdown approach. Vaccines are here to allow us live near-normal lives again and as we learn more about the virus more effective vaccines will rollout as well.
Agreed yet here we are fully vaccinated and Canada isn’t so sure about letting us in but yeah let’s welcome students because they don’t pose an iota of risk to their population!
Bravo my future country of residence

I read an article yesterday which says that international students contribute an average of 21 billion dollars to the Canadian economy annually; I was actually startled however, same article revealed that economic immigrants also probably contribute even more to the economy in the long term through tax, work, consumption etc because many international students leave the country after studies

Asking for a friend
Will there be a 1500 cec draw on Thursday?
He is so anxious because his score is really high i.e. 360 so any insight would be helpful

And not to forget that the economic immigrants contribute to billions of dollars towards housing and that too in the initial years!
