So you are telling if ircc is asking for pcc again, the second time then it is fucked up? My only concern is when are they planning to end this shit show. I think the new guy is as shit as mm.
If IRCC asks for RCMP PCC, then yes its fucked up. Basically, RCMP never scaled up its capacity to process applications. IRCC previously used to process a mix of outland and inland application (Economic immigration applications were half of their processing volume). So, the load on RCMP became double when IRCC chose to process only inland applications. Because RCMP PCC is only needed for inland applicants in some "rare" cases. When? no one knows that. Now RCMP never increased it capacity to process yet month after month they kept on getting double the number of applications they were used to process, so now they are taking 30 times the time to process what they used to do in say Jan. From 3 days, it takes now 90 days to get a RCMP PCC. To top it all, RCMP sends its results using Canada Post untracked and uninsured ordinary post ONLY. This means there is a big chance that your results will end up getting lost and Canada Post will have NO idea about what happened.

For a comparison, EVEN pathetic Baboos of Indian bureaucracy had enough sense to use a courier (Purolator) for sending across any paper. They make you pay for it but it ensures that your documents are not lost. Plus Indian Baboos tend to be more answerable. If you get a PCC successfully, your next PCC done in say one week will only take few days. RCMP? Naah! If Canada Post lost your PCC from RCMP, they wont take any responsibility and neither RCMP. You are then fucked. You will need to reapply, wait for 3 more months and pray to fuckken Gods that IRCC extend the deadline. Yes, a first world country cannot use Email to send PCC and will ONLY use Canada Post to send PCC. Meanwhile IRCC ONLY needs a scanned copy..... So its like this :

IRCC --(Emails) --> RCMP PCC Request --You Electronically submit--> Fingerprints ---RCMP searches its Data base--->Paper Report----RCMP sends via Canada Post, untracked--->Paper Report in Mail---Scanned & Uploaded--->IRCC

More hilarity? IRCC already has your fingerprints and could have directly asked RCMP to do a fingerprint check for you, if needed. But they are cool like that to make you suffer for that.

This is what real Canadian Beaurocratic experience looks like and there is more where it came from... Welcome to Canada!

Fun-fact : Guess who is the minister of public safety these days? Hint, a certain Polo.

Hey guys, my sources tell me that Omnicron is going to cause record high cases in late January. Therefore, Canada needs to delay outland programs

Cannot wait.
You are welcome!

Basic Canadian idea is this : There is a degradable service standard for EVERYTHING in Canada (Education, Health care etc) and its hard to pay for better services. Take example for IRCC, there is no "Premium Processing". Its like Canada has internalized the idea : "We will all suffer but atleast we will all suffer somewhat equally". There is never any impetus to improve because there is never any reward to improve and improvement only happens as big push from the very top of the government.

True story : My kid was whooping in cough and ALL clinics could give an appointments two weeks in future. Mind you these were all "walk in clinic". The only other option for faster care? Go to ER. For a cough... We had already done Covid test on him. I mean all that was needed was a doctor to listen to his lungs and to rule out Pnemonia and perhaps prescribe some anti hystamine or something... But NO! Go to ER... And then get triaged to a 8 hour wait while possibly delaying treatment of heart attack patients or stroke patients...

That is insane.

Guaranteed citizenship after getting PR is such a big draw otherwise, I would have dropped this BS long back.

If you want "Guaranteed", UK is the best option... Five years after "Settlement" gives you naturalization, IIRC.
Canadian Citizenship is a 1 or 2 year long process which frustrates you similarly. Its again done by IRCC. Checkout citizenship forums sometimes.

Nope, I saw so many people return from the UK after spending 10+ years there and those f***s keep changing their visa rules every day. If your salary is on the higher side and you work in an in-demand occupation, then there is a chance of getting PR first, not sure what is the path to citizenship. In Canada, at least you can keep working on your PR visa until you become a citizen which is way better than waiting for PR while being an outlander.

In UK you don't get PR directly. For that you need to spend sometime on a visa. Tier-1 visa gives PR/Indefinite leave in 3 years or so.

get a partner, that ain't difficult. You can find friends online and meetup later and date later, brits prefer colored folks now especially in the metros, and countryside likes everyone. first hand experience, much experience. for a peaceful life prefer someone away from the metros.

And what if you are already married?
