You can tell from Mendicino's fake ass smile he's a psychopath who feels threatened by people smarter than him. This new guy doesn't give off the same vibe. I guess that's a good sign.

Yeah fuck this petition, it's not about transparency and fairness. It's about crying for transparency and "fairness" in a way that only applies to them, because fuck everyone else. It's not about fairness, it's about them also wanting special treatment like CECs/TRs. Plain and simple.
And you live in Canada? Are you fully aware of what entails to be someone in Canada with implied status ?

The implication is not that a masters or MBA in itself is useless, but by incentivizing people to go become students again, they turn to degree mills that are easy to get into for the sake of getting a degree that won't help them in any way, just because it's an easy path to PR. There are people in this very forum who have opted to go back to school in Canada for a master's after 10 years of experience in their respective fields. What's more hilarious is how they justify it to themselves as being a valuable investment. Sure, bud
Are you saying that international students are getting useless degrees in Canada to get a work permit and then get an irrelevant job to get PR in Canada ? What do you mean by free PR? Why are you saying an MBA or Masters is useless ?
I opted the school route while waiting for a draw, and I lost points due to age. I am on my way to Canadian school, if I am given the study permit, it's the easiest way to PR, although I received OINP NOI
the degree is useless to me tho but if Canada considers it useful then good for them.

Who incentivizes to get a master or MBA degree ? The government ? The truth of the matter is that if you have a Canadian education, you are more likely to get a good job in Canada. And of course that leads to a PR, but having an education from Canada definitely gives you advantage over people who have never studied in Canada.. otherwise all of you would’ve gotten a job in Canada from overseas if it was that simple right ?

Oh wow it's early 2020 again. Deja vu from all the same tired nonsense from back then lmao. Good job ignoring the point I was making and talk about unrelated stuff. Good luck bud, sounds like you're already in Canada. You'll get your special treatment soon enough. Hope you survive till then!

This is such a mind numbingly stupid argument that now I'm wondering if you're actually just trolling.

No Canadian degree is useless… if you make it to Canada, you will experience it for yourselves that having an overseas education DONT count as a Canadian education for employers.. employers would still be hesitant to hire you, and if you are competing against someone with an Work permit who graduated from a Canadian school, guess who will get the job? Simple as that!

I’m Canadian Citizen indeed, and never received special treatment, you’re speaking from ignorance and FAR from reality.. good luck getting into Canada, and if you make it, don’t unpack too soon.. cheers .

@ImpatientKangaroo Are congratulations in order? Looks like Alberta had a draw. Did you get the ITA (or did you already have one, and I'm completely clueless?)

Also reminding everyone, the word "newcomers" doesn't mean outlands, it simply denotes new copr & pr's

if the new mandate doesn't mention anything about fsw's , foreign applicants then it'd mean we fsw's are ducked
is there a timeline for when the new mandate is expected?

I live in England, and yet some of my credentials are from overseas which were considered for jobs prior to grduating

"competing against someone with an Work permit who graduated from a Canadian school, guess who will get the job? Simple as that"
yes this is the secondary reason, where the path to easiest pr is the primary reason considered by international students. this is why i mentioned if canada considers credentials from their diploma mills ( term used by the canadian media) institutions then good for them! academically it's useless for a person with years of experience and degrees from the U.S.A and the U.K but only for pathway to the PR alone

@mushymush I totally get what you mean by degree mills handing out useless degrees. It’s evident from this guy’s response who is educated in Canada but can’t even use correct grammar to articulate his point.

if i am right i think i came across the term - "degree mills" from a news media pointing out the low quality education in Canadian colleges. Probably in a report by Marketplace YT or globalnews.ca
