Cost $23

They sent me the consent form to sign/scan the same day i made the order, so my initial impression is that they're good.. I'll let you know when I receive the notes in about 2 weeks (or hopefully earlier).

Good luck! Order yours asap.

Thank u so much. I m ordering them today.

No news otherwise. I uploaded LOE in place of FBI. Deadline is 16 Dec. Can someone tell me when can I hear from them. Any one here who got extension ??? In about how many days after LOE submission or deadline I can hear from them?? No reply to CSE ...its been about 25 days. So much anxiety

I also never received a reply to my CSE with an FBI PCC for my husband. I uploaded my certificate to mycic on October 13 and still have not heard anything back from them. So i guess it takes a while :(

Nothing to worry. I was in the same boat. When I filed my PR application my FBI PCC were missing. I filed a LOE with the dates and receipts of my FBI PCC request. I filed the LOE with my PR application on Sep 3, and on Oct 1, I received a request to file the FBI PCC before December 01.

After I filed the FBI PCC I have not heard back from CIC. I guess the applications are moving, but their own pace. There is a lot of speculation about why its slow and timeframes. I will not be much concerned about it unless a substantial time has gone by.

Guys, does anyone have experience with going forward with state/local PCC's instead of FBI one? FBI keeps rejecting my fingerprints, so I submitted a CSE along with state and local PCCs but CIC's been giving me silence for over a month now.

CIC will only accept FBI PCC. Since it was taking time for me to obtain an FBI PCC I sent a state background check when i filed my PR applications. I also submitted a LOE stating that since the FBI PCC is not available, the state many be considered or extra time be given to me. CIC responded back by giving me 60 days to furnish FBI PCC. So in essence they did not consider the state.

The logic is that the FBI PCC looking into all arrests nation wide, where as the state background check is only confined to your state. So technically speaking, the FBI check is essential.

You are very much correct. I submitted my request on July 17. Finally on October 13 found out my husband's fingerprints were rejected. Submitted another application the very next week, and still waiting and waiting, probably until end of January. Painful. And frustrating.
You'd think their technology would be a bit better than this.

Where are you currently located? I went with an experienced fingerprinting guy who has been doing this for years and for hundreds of applicants.
He personally verified each fingerprint multiple times and assured me I need not send multiple sets.

And just like he predicted it went through without any hassle.

I am out of Canada without any fingerprinting service available so that wouldn't work. Thank you though. I just wonder what sense does it make to ask someone for PCCs from a country you dont reside in any more. I mean if I were a criminal, would they even let me out of the US at all?

Tell me about it. FBI is like doubling down on the stress level that usual applicants take. All in all, express entry is the slowest thing with the word "express" in it. You have to take IELTS, get ECAs, get PCCs, get POF with 6 months of averages, and then wait for at least 6 more months to get PPR, then wait for your passport to travel both ways, then do landing and wait for three more months to get your PR card. Thats at least about 1.5 years from your first intentions to PR card given everything goes smoothly. :o

Speaking of interesting.. has anyone read this mid-year report?

cic.gc.ca/english/resources/reports/ee-midyear-2015.asp

Seems like they have tons to process.. no wonder things are going slow!

This report is from July and was highly discussed here when released. Since July, there has been several other rounds of invitation and applications submitted. Probably in the next couple weeks they will release a new and updated report. Looking forward to that!

You are so right..... I always thought FBI is most advanced police in the world. But this is so damn retarded , not just the delay, they don't even have an online payment portal. I was shocked to see that credit card form. Every small little website has online payment. And then after three months they can say that credit card failed.
I m still not able to understand ......how is it possible to function like that. Paper application , no online form , no online payment ,such long delay. It's crazy ....as if it's 1930 or something

I have heard they are collecting comprehensive fingerprint databases, so they need to do detailed analysis on fingerprints. Just in case they need for future reference. Otherwise, accessing our info from databases would take minutes if not seconds. I even asked them to provide PPC based on name and address check and mention that no fingerprinting was done (just like some state/local police departments do) and they refused.

Funny thing is that I had to go through the whole process and wait for several months when I was renewing my US visa. I feel like a ping pong ball now :D
