Great to see some movement here !!

Honestly, I have got even more anxious and impatient after this whole BG in progress thing. I submitted my application on 28 July and got BG in progress on 6th November. FSW Outland from India.

Every day since 6th November has been extremely difficult. I was happy initially that at last there is some movement. But now, I'm checking ECAS, my emails and this forum every hour of the day and it is sooo hard now waiting for the PPR. And, just a thought of rejection sends jitters through my body.

Does any of you with BG in progress feel this way too?

Im in the same boat as you mate. My BG changed to "In Progress" on November 3rd and ever since then, I've been checking my ECAS access and myCIC accounts religiously :.

Just try to be positive and focus on the awesome outcome

Wow, The support here is just amazing (for better of for worse)... thank you all so much... I just hope the good news continues all the way to the actual landing... for all of us...
I'm serious in that we should all try to organize a 'reunion/celebratory' dinner at the CN tower sometime in August or September 2016 when everybody has settled. Folks who won't settle in Ontario, should still fly and make it! (being sooo clueless and AHEAD of myself, I know! ;D)

It seems you have a special affinity for CN tower But I do agree that we should all meet in CN tower or anywhere nice.

Just checked my ECAS access. Previously it was just two lines shown, now it became three lines.
The latest line "Medical results have been recieved". :

No big news since yesterday's background check in progress, but I finally have ecas access!! Only 3 lines.. so this does not include yesterday's news.. but oh well - better than nothing!

What do we suppose the average waiting time between background and DM is?

Also dinner at the CN Tower = awesome idea! Do love it up there

Thanks for the support guys !! Things were better before BG in progress. However, trying to focus back on work now.

And, by the way, 3rd line about medicals is back in ECAS.

Haha, whenever I need /want something "big", I consider my ungoing application...

- New vaccum cleaner? Nah... couldn't plug it in in Canada!
- New pans? Nah... too heavy to ship over!
- New plants? No, those would be a pain / impossible to migrate!
- New appartment (because I have an awful landlady)? Hmmm, might not be worth the trouble!
- New job (because I hate hate hate my job)? I can't honestly tell anybody I'm planning to be a long term employee!

same here.. my sofa has a 5 inch deep hole, and I am hesitant to by a new one at this point
same with clothes/shoes, anything really
just want to invest in some large suitcases hehe ;D

AOR aug 20.....6 lines in ECAS earlier...now only showing two lines
and no up dates..RPRF requested and updated
POF letter requested updated

Never been there, but not a bad idea .. Tell u what, next August we can see where the majority of those interested in a reunion are.. If the majority is in the east, then cn tower.. If west then Calgary tower. Yeah?

Welcome to the group Chris. Did your background check go to "in progress" on mycic? This is usually the last stage, and it happens 2-5 weeks before DM. What is your country of residence?

Also do you mean they asked you for an updated POF document recently? Hopefully that's good news cuz it means they're working on your application. Right?

What is your opinion about the rate of PPRs being given out lately? It's been pretty quiet in the FSW thread as well as the Aug AOR thread. :-X
