The passport submission at VFS was very straight forward. I went in, submitted my passports and came out in 15 minutes. But then again I was lucky and there were only 3 other people at the time i went. In case you are not able to go to submit the passport, somebody else can go on your behalf and submit it. I opted for the passport to be delivered to my house. Since i will mostly be at work when the passport will probably arrive, I was told i have to write an authorization letter stating that "this person will be collecting the passport on my behalf". Along with the authorization letter, the acknowledgement receipt which you would have received at VFS during submission is also mandatory in order to receive the passport. So in case you are not able to collect the passport yourself, make sure to give both these documents to the person who will be collecting it on your behalf. Without these, the courier person will not handover the passport back to you (this is what i was told).

I got my photos taken at VFS and i am a bit concerned. The sample photos you see online and the one they took at VFS was a bit different, with respect to dimension. And the person who took my passport, wrote "VFS photo booth, 14-08-2017, My name and DOB at the back of the photo". there was no seal/stamp whatsoever.

And another thing: i submitted all my 4 passports !

Same thing for me. Quick drop of the passports and PPR + photos.

I think you can just write at the back that the photos were taken at the photo booth in the VFS branch instead of getting a stamp from a professional photographer/studio?

Wow, how'd it go with submission of all 4 passports? I only submitted the most recent one since that's the one with details we submitted and it will be active/valid for over 12 months. Do tell us what happened when you get the passports back.

At last some update on my file. I got we do not need additional documents today. Background check still on IP 1 status. Day 48 today on IP1. Day 86 on AOR. Since I now have we do not need additional documents status, trimming down my checks on profile to once a week.

Thanks for the reply. Is this email correct - CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca. Also, CIC number on website is mentioned for Canada only, can I call from India, won't call executive have any issue?
Looking forward to your reply.

My consultant told me to take all my passports. I handed them over and the person at the counter took everything. Obviously the person will stamp only the current passport but I guess by the looks of it people do drop in multiple passports otherwise I am pretty sure I would have been told to submit only my current one.

Tell me about it. We sure are getting the short end of the stick. With the progress of my file. Probably PPR won't come until end of October.
