Hi guys! Congrats for everybody for got the PPRs already! :D:D:rolleyes::rolleyes:
Wanted to have some piece of advice
Our AOR is 6th of May, NA since 25 of June, ADR on the 14th of July. And yesterday my husband (primary applicant) had a phone interview with a representative of Canadian embassy. Besides, his former and current employers got the calls too. In few hours after the interview our background changed from NA to IP2. Is it a good sign? Or there is still a possibility of rejection? o_O Would really apreciate any thoughts from you guys.:p
Good sign, get ready for the golden e-mail now.

Maddy, historically applicants from India have been getting PPRs along with other nationalities. You may check this on the tracker. Personally, I don't think there's anything to do with nationality here. It's just that they may have a bureaucratic process. Plus we have no proof that escalating to the minister helped in moving astral's email. It may be the case or may not be. I know few people from January APR who haven't got their PPR. What is weird is that time from approval to PPR has also increased. It sucks but is the reality
I agree with you on this. We have no idea how CIC processes every application and all that we do is speculate. There must be a reason why approved applications are in a queue for the PPR email. We can't get demanding when the timelines are being adhered to.

What kind of questions were in the interview with your husband? & how did cic contact his employers & what did they ask them?
Its kind of helpful to know what kind of info cic is seeking to validate... thanks
Well, my husband was asked about one of his jobs. There were a lot of very detailed questions, like 1) tell about your working day in detail 2) what were the names of your colleagues 3) did your company had an online shop and so on..
The previous chief was asked about the employment period, job duties, and some questions about company.
And on the current job they asked to switch to the accountant. And the accountant was asked only about the position and salary paid.
So, I think they just were trying to verify what we claimed in our application.
All calls were made from one number (canadian embassy). By the way, we didn't mentioned one of the phone numbers so they probably had to google it.

@johnsyk I think the point of @Pawshi is not about questioning the way CIC processing is done. It is about distributing the PPRs to "approved" applicants according to the country of origin, which is definitely not fair. This is my observation as well..However, point to be noted though.. We are *PAYING* processing fee and expect some fairness. Someone in this forum raised this to immigration minister as well ... Let us all accept unfairness rather than being submissive to whatever goes on.. We are just being honest, not impatient...
Hi all johnsyk is not accepting anything he is talking reality right from medicals to PPr the system is not fair but yet again have in mind that Some April,May and June applicant had it easy don't forget applicants from January February are still waiting for approval not to talk about PPR

Ohhhhhh gosh, call them, this is not normal.
Tried, will keep trying though. I can't seem to get hold of an agent. All email inquiries have followed an automated response template. But as at Friday the 4th of August, file still in Sydney.

Wow
That was intense
It seems that VO was suspicious as it looks like it was a tough investigation .
Could it be the nature of the job maybe?
