I don't know what province you live in, but Ontario really has some big issue in giving Health Card to work permit holders.

They requirement for OHIP to work permit holders is:
Having a full-time permanent job in Ontario

First I had a 12-month contract job. Because in my work letter it was mentioned that I work 37 hours a week but the employer could change my work hours, they refused to give me OHIP.

Then, I had a full time permanent job from a company in BC while I was residing in ON (the position was remote). Again, they refused to give me OHIP because my employer's office address was in BC!

But in BC, the only requirement for health card is to reside in BC for more than three month. After three month, they will give you health card with no issue.
I'm in Ontario and they really give us a hard time :(

I totally understand you.

Once I had a very bad cold and had to pay around $120 for visit to a clinic and seeing a doctor. At that moment, I was enraged, thinking "why the hell do I have to pay a large sum of my income as tax then?!"

Money spent on services like this, can be claimed once you get your status and OHIP.

Yes, its a problem with Ontario. I had to go in 5 times before they finally accepted my documents.
Now I am in implied status, waiting for my BOWP. I also work remotely for a company in US.
I am sure they won't accept my documents this time.
Anyway, I plan to move to Calgary soon because Ontario has become insanely expensive.

Anyone here waiting for GCMS notes more than 3 months?
It has been 3 months since I applied and I can’t believe they still did not issue it to me.
It has been 2 months for me and counting. I heard from them twice: first for an extension and then they asked me for further information about my ATIP request.

I think their "plan" to stop answering phone calls due to the Afghanistan crisis had that as a collateral effect.
When they stop giving information through phone calls, everyone just applied for an ATIP.
We, applicants, have the right to know and they denied it to us. Now there's an even bigger problem, a backlog of ATIPs

Have to request again. I had one that was completely ignored, then I requested again and then I received…

Have you guys requested from IRCC? you can try requesting from CBSA as well.
I tried both. With CBSA, if they don't meet the 30 days deadline, they will email you asking for extra 30days. It still sucks when they do that but you know what to expect

I heard nothing from them at all for 3 months. Followed up but nobody replied as well.
