FSW and CEC

Dear friends,
I've very important question and I need your kind feedback.
I applied for EE as CEC because I'm living in Canada with valid work permit for last 3 years and I received my ITA last week.
I have found my application recognized me as FSW not CEC (CEC not met) and I don't know why. My friends told me that will be changed later by immigration officer to identify you as CEC.

However, I found the applications that I need to upload are too much and not related to CEC.

Please can you help if I have done something wrong because I don't want to submit something is not accurate and later will be bounced back to me.

Your advise is highly appreciated.

If you enter enough funds, you will always receive ITA under FSW and you can not change it. You may enter 0 under available fund to get an ITA under CEC in the next round.

If you received an invitation under FSW, you cannot "change" it to CEC. If you accept the FSW ITA - then you will be applying under the FSW stream.

If you don't want to apply under FSW, you have to refuse the ITA, change the available funds on your profile to zero and wait for a CEC ITA.

^ Depends if you already have an ECA or the PoF meeting the LICO thresholds, then you can continue with your FSW ITA. If not, follow scylla's advice to get a CEC ITA in future draws.

If you have all the documents ready already and don't mind the 5 month average processing time for FSW, then go ahead with that. Average processing time for CEC category is shorter than FSW (about 3 month).

The draws are the same for all categories. Assuming you got ITA in the last 2 draws (470+), you have a good chance next draw, although no one can say for sure until IRCC announces the draw.

I would just go with the ITA your currently have.

There really aren't any different document requirements between FSW and CEC except for Proof of Funds. If you have the money and can prove it easily (i.e. without needing to organise a gift deed or similar), just use this ITA.

Don't rely on the assumption that a CEC application will be processed faster than your FSW application either. Many facts contribute to processing times, so it is impossible to predict how long your application will take. Besides, you are already in Canada, so what does it matter if it takes 3 months or 5?

On the other hand, future ITAs are not guaranteed. You may get one in the next draw or you may have to wait longer.

In addition, it seems like you have already filled in the ITA questionnaire. If you decline this ITA, you have to redo the questionnaire, which can be annoying.

Hi Dexmoody and all other friends,
Unfortunetly I declined my ITA today and I changed my fund to zero but nothing been done to the profile.
Still my application details defined me as FSW and "CRS - Human Capital - Canadian Work Experience" is zero.

I think there is something wrong happened to my profile because I answered the questions that I'm living currently in Canada.

Although I have high CRS but still I'm confused why I recognized as FSW not CEC.

However, I don't if possible to contact CIC tomorrow and asking this question and I don't know if there are going to reply to me or not.

Please any suggestion or advice.

I don't know if that a good sign or still I need to set FSW to zero.

So did you set your funds to zero?

Can take 24h for changes to take effect. Check back tomorrow.
